Story on NBC Nightly News tonight: Adrianne from Brooklyn has been found.
Adrienne had promised her undying love for Paul McCartney, way back in 1964, in newsreels at the time and in Ron Howard's Eight Days a Week.
Paul was in town, showing his Beatle photos at the Brooklyn Museum. Paul posted on TikTok, "Hey Adrienne, it's Paul. Listen I saw your video. I'm in Brooklyn now.... I finally got here. We've got a ...photo exhibition. Come along and see it."
But sadly, Adrienne D'Onofrio passed away in 1992.

Nightline tells us that Beyonce put a powerful spin on a classic for a whole new generation of listeners; "The women at the center of the civil rights struggle, whose story inspired the Beatles to write Blackbird."
A newsreel from 1957, showing the Little Rock Nine as they try to enter the segragated highschool, was shown.
"From Beyonce's new contry mix, to the Beatles' seminal recording, more than 50 years later, Blackbird is song rich with symbolism and history."
Both recordings are played, seamlessly interspiced.
The story shows Paul, in concert in little Rock, in 2016. "Way back in the 1960s, there was a lot of troubles going on over civil rights, particuly in Little Rock, that made me want to write a song." He sings Blackbird. "McCartney even invited Ekfort and Mother Ware to his concert, posting this photo on Twitter. The tune a favorite of Melba, even before she learned her connection to it." Melba added "I noticed right away that the words to that were telling me how I felt and what I have to do. And I thought "What does this white man, halfway around the world..., how does he understand how I feel?"

On Late Night with Seth Meyers, Seth was watching a news report on the Trump trial. Jane Rosenberg reports that Donald Trump "...could had been meditating, he could had been napping. That not for me to say."
Seth says "Maybe it's not for you to say, but I'll say it. He wasn't f#!&ing meditating. I can guarentee you, Trump has never meditated in his life. Although, now that I think of it, there were a few days in '68 where he overlapped with the Beatles in Rishikesh." Seth shows Trump next to a Paul, eyes closed, in the classic Indian photo. Seth as Trump: "Give peace a chance. All you need is love. Peace, love ...and money. ...and power. Peace, love, money and power. And total and complete immunity.... Ringo knows what I'm talking about."
Seth continues on, adding the Maharishi told Trump to build a wall.

... The Fab Four were probably a bit better at the early material, and the Legends get the nod for the latter stuff, because they cheat--they have a guy doing keyboard/synth stuff off to the side. JcS Sounds like the Beatles, bringing in Billy Preston!

Ahhh, Russellville, or as I called it during my four years in college at that town, Rutville. It is now in my jurisdiction, and I have hearings there a few times a year--the last one was one against my alma mater, come to think of it. I also have two brothers living in Rutville. On CNN, Russellville, Arkansas has 358+ couples marrying for the eclipse. Wedding Band is the Beatles. They play Here Comes the Sun for the CNN audience. The band introduced themselves but they never do say who the act is. A little research finds it's The Liverpool Legends. That is the tribute band that was sponsored by Louise Harrison, and played at Branson, Missouri for years--may still, for all I know--and I saw them in Fort Smith, Arkansas a couple of years ago. They were quite good. I compare them with the Fab Four, who I've seen twice; both do the early years in the appropriate attire, and then change outfits for the middle period (I can't remember if the Legends do a third costume change). The Fab Four were probably a bit better at the early material, and the Legends get the nod for the latter stuff, because they cheat--they have a guy doing keyboard/synth stuff off to the side. I recommend seeing either if in your area. JcS

I hope we get a ton of extras, like a complete rooftop concert that doesn't have cut-aways. And a menu for playing just the music.
I wouldn't mind an alternate cut. In 1970, Hogg had a cut that had to be shortened. I'd like to see something a little more exciting than the drum set-up and the Paul classical piece to start the film.

CBS Mornings read the entire McCartney quote on Beyonce's cover of Blackbird.
“I am so happy with [Beyoncé’s] version of my song ‘Blackbird,' ”McCartney wrote alongside a photo of the singers together. “I think she does a magnificent version of it and it reinforces the civil rights message that inspired me to write the song in the first place. I think Beyoncé has done a fab version and would urge anyone who has not heard it yet to check it out. You are going to love it!”"
(NBC) Today mentions the the acoustic guitar was used from The Beatles' version. They read the above statement. "He went on to say "I Spoke to her on facetime and she thanked me for writing it and letting her do it. I told her the pleasure was all mine and I thought she had done a killer version of the song.""

Beyonce and Paul have confirmed that they used the White Album recording of Blackbird and pulled out the guitar to use on Beyonce's track.
So Paul/the Beatles is on the charts again!

It kind of looking like the archive series is dead anyway.

I haven't watched the Get Back 3 part doco for about 12 months, must be nearly time i got a 6 pack and watched them again. 2 cans an episode, i'm the last of the big drinkers. Hell, I cannot stay awake for an entire episode! The problem is I start them too late at night! So no drinking for me, that would put me to sleep sooner. I would like to watch it again though!

Watching Vegas: The Story of Sin City on CNN. Episode 2, The Golden Age, the Beatles hit America.
They weren't at all a good match for Vegas. The Vegas club owner were only interested in who was going to bring the gamblers in. Even Elvis bombed in the '50s Vegas.
But the Beatles' excitement that was hitting the nation still created a buzz in Vegas. When they arrived in 1964, they wanted to see Las Vegas. The Beatles played the Convention Center there. "Of course it was a mob scene. They came in one day and left." The headline in the Vegas Review Journal, "Record Vegas Crowds Go Wild Over the Beatles".
But Vegas was resistent to Rock and Roll at the time, to the counter culture in general. Vegas did not want the partiers. They wanted the adults with money to spend.

Christina Applegate was on Jimmy Kimmel last night. She said she went to Coachella to see Paul McCartney. (A decent crowd 'woopwoop' applause responce followed.) (Friends) were getting kind of upset because of the pot smoke, so they decide to leave early. As she was getting into the car, she hears "Hey Jude". "I was just like...." She grimaced.
But she says Paul McCartney was the musical guest at one of their Shakespeare plays "and he sang and played all of his music just for our (group) that night". Kimmel is rightly shocked, "Is that true!? That's better than "Jaws of Satan" (her 1981 movie when she was 9 years old, they showed a clip from earlier in the interview)."

Today on CNN, The Chris Wallace Show, his five-man panel reviewed the latest presidential ranking by scholers. Washington dropped from two to three.
Following that, I get by "With a Little Help From My Friends". The panel gives their yeah or neigh on the Beatles coming to theaters. It's taking the fab four on a long and winding road.
Reihan Salam: Yeah, if and only if Yoko Ono gets her own Disney+ series. "I'm being dead serious. Yoko is a legend."
Lulu Garcia-Navarro: "I don't know how to follow that.... Yeah on all of them. I think this is exciting. I love the Beatles. I think this will introduce them to a whole new generation.
Chris: "Alright. Next. Calling all those who want to be Martians...."
I thought everyone was going to get their opinions on the Beatles' movies out but I guess not.

CBS Mornings: The segment opens with the extended playout from Hey Jude. Vlad Duthiers: "There an audiotape of me doing this at 5 years old."
NEW BEATLES SERIES Vlad: "Yes, a series. Sony says each of the fab four will get their own feature length movie! ...all in their own voices." Tony: "So Vlad, who will be the least popular Beatle, on the screen." Vlad: "They all have such incredible stories. My favorite Beatle is actually George. Believe it or not." To Gale, "Yours is Paul, because you are also friends with Paul." Gayle: "But he was my favorite even before!" Vlad: "Even before. He was the cute one, right? Gayle: "I like all things Paul." Vlad: "But I like George because George was such an influence on the guitar style of the Beatles. But also, he wrote some of the most incredible songs, too. Here Comes the Sun..." Gayle: "They're all strong musicians. I don't think people totally understand that." Vlad: "Even Ringo, who was this incredible drummer who gave the music the beat.... So Yeah! I'm here for it."

A teaser on NBC Today: Coming up, a must see Pop Start. They'd announced a Beatles' Film Fest must see report already. "The details will make you twist and shout! Coming up on Pop Start!" Update: "This project marks the first time that Paul, Ringo and the families of John and George have granted full life story and music rights to a scripted film. All four movies will be released in 2027. They are not staggering them. With a to be announced dating cadence, that's quote, innovative and ground breaking. Sounds like we are entering the Beatleverse!" "Have you heard the news? Oh Boy. We all support the Sam Mendes Movie Project. Yes, indeed. Peace and Love." ....Ringo Starr
