Pete only sued to stop The Beatles from speading lies about him in the international media. How would you like it if someone started giving magazine articles saying YOU were an unreliable worker because you took drugs all the time to make you ill. Now you're saying two different things. I thought you said Pete never had any lawsuits? Remember the John Lennon clip where it was asked if Pete Best had a lawsuit, and John replied: "I this he's had a few but we don't bother about those"...? You said John was lying, and that Pete never had "any" suits. Now you admit that he did. I don't believe that Pete did not take some drugs in Hamburg to help keep awake when the band was performing long grueling hours.

That IS the lawsuit John was being asked about. Pete never had any lawsuits before or after that, and he only filed that one to clear his name. He wanted to put an end to the lies The Beatles were spreading about him that were damaging his name and reputation. As far as you wanting to believe Pete was on drugs in Hamburg, that's my whole point. You are only interested in believing what you want to believe and attacking any real sources that go against your beliefs. You aren't interested in the truth.

That's interesting. Would love to see the evidence for that. Read the Beatles own authorized biography. There is a thread here where you can read it for free. Ever since Pete put people on notice those kind of lies won't go unchallenged, every book about The Beatles since has been very careful not to go there. There has never been a single person in 50 years to say Pete was lying about not taking drugs. Not one. Even when Pete's lawsuit was happening, The Beatles lawyers, backed by all of the Beatles millions were not able to produce a single witness to come forward and say Pete took drugs. Not one. Pete played those grueling 7 hours sets drugfree, unlike John, Stu, Paul, George & Ringo who all needed drugs to make it. Impressive.

His only claim to fame was that he was thrown out of The Beatles. Pete should have been satisfied with being mentioned at all by the interviewer in that Beatles press conference. Pot, meet Kettle.

What name? What reputation? His reputation that he was not the type of person who misses work all of the time because he takes pills to make himself ill. He had a wife and family to support. It was a terrible thing for his former bandmates to do that to him when they knew it wasn't true. Heck, it would have been a terrible thing to do to him even if it was true. How would you feel if I gave interviews to international magazines and said those type of things about YOU?

He was the poor loser who got sacked from The Beatles, that was his lot in life. Today he's a millionaire anyway so who cares? Pete tried to sue in order to make money off The BEATLES. He tried to grab a piece of the pie he was denied.
