Just saw this article. www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/6-banned-rock-and-roll-hits.html/?ref=YF Despite being a pop band with a charming image, at least at first, do the Beatles have the most banned songs of any popular band (by someone, somewhere)? If so, which songs do you know have had some push back for any reason? (not counting their entire catalog in the South during the "Bigger than Jesus" year) Here's one: The Ballad of John and Yoko for "Christ, you know it ain't easy."

I was told by someone who lived in Russia that The Beatles (at least at one point) were illegal and that the Government thought they were "revolutionary" and thought that the People would revolt against the Russian Government if they listened to their music... which is strange considering that in the States some people actually think that they ARE communist...lol..

Yeah, I hear the Russians would smuggle the Beatles' music in, etched onto medical x-rays.

A Day In The Life was banned in the UK for a while for its drug connotations.

That ad cracked me up! The "uncensored version" of GIBTTI? Is that the version with the profanity! And what is up with the: "Keep On Trucking?!" Paul was clearly the happiest man on Earth that the BBC banned that song, he was hoping for street creds! Keep on trucking!

Street cred gone in an instant!
