Excellent article. I agree the new Midnight McCartney album by John Pizzarelli is the best cover album of McCartney songs to date. Good insight into Allen Klein's involvement with the band and how musical artists are often oblivious to how important ownership of one's compositions is so important in the long run. The example of artists who realized this aspect of their careers would be The Dave Clark Five and Prince. Thanks for posting this.

The ownership aspect is yet another area where other artists learned from The Beatles, who blazed the trail.
