"( many people on youtube are saying why are many of The Beatles videos gone off of youtube now and some are saying it's because of UMG_MK and I don't know what this is.)"
UMG bought EMI.

And here they performed Paul's very good hard rocking, especially for early 1965,I'm Down at The Ed Sulivian Theater August 14,1965 one night before their live Shea Stadium performance. Cool. I always thought John's playing the keyboard with his elbows was ad-libbed at Shea.

Here is part of The Beatles great January 1969 roof top concert. What Steve Paradiso says in the comments,That The Beatles were arguably The Greatest Rock n Roll Band Ever is *so true!* I don't need much of an excuse to watch this again. Thanks Mo. Urr...I mean Lucy.

.... He also says that John Lennon showed on Paul's rocker Get Back why he should have played lead guitar more often because he did such a good job of it. He also said he played a pretty good slide guitar on George's For Your Blue and he said John also played one of the first and best acid guitar parts on his great rocker Revolution. www.keno.org/classic_rock/rock_albums_reviews.htmlI always loved John's playing on the roof-top Get Back. He's not just trying to play it and not miss a note, he's tearing it up, shredding it.

Here are The Rolling Stones live in 1963 and 1964 they don't sound better or even as good as The Beatles live then! They aren't even rocking. No even rocking? I'm not sure I'd agree with that. These are all Chuck Berry songs. Roll Over Beethoven too. These are pretty rockin' songs by the Stones. We don't need to tear down the Stones to make the Beatles better. That the Stones were as great as they were but the Beatles were better, is a good angle too.

Keith Richards should just play guitar and STFU!!!! As Paul once sang, "Only fools take second best". Keith's just doing what he does, bobbing and weaving, taking a few shots. All and all, the Stones have been pretty decent about the Beatles. PS: The Beatles' Carol, Live at the BBC, blows the version above away.

Well I got to tell you,I searched on google with the key words The Rolling Stones live in 1963 and live in 1964 and I was looking for early Rolling Stones live rocking performances, but I didn't find it! I'm really surprised you think they sound rocking here, you have to hear that in the 1963,1964 and 1965 Beatles performances that I posted links to,The Beatles are the ones in these songs, that not only sound better but much more rocking!

This is a good Rolling Stones 1964 performance of their song It's All Over Now,but it's still not as good and as rocking as The Beatles performances I posted.

I'm with you on this when comparing the two bands. I even said as much above about both bands live versions of Carol. I was defending the songs as being rocking songs as much as the Stones versions posted here.

Okay, I am not quite following you Lucy. Can you explain again why The Beatles were not a boy band?

Because we didn't actually have boy bands in those days. Also bands were mainly brass-based. We had pop groups. And they didn't do effeminate little dancey stuff, like boy bands. And they played their own instruments, unlike (most) boy bands. And they weren't artificially assembled by management, like boy bands. Want any more?

Not only is this so ignorant, ridiculous, and false on a creative and musical level, but on their personal level too. I guarantee true genuine boy bands don't have groupies. The Beatles had sex with *tons* of young women groupies, many who were just teen girls especially during their touring years of 1963-1966 ironically they did this the most during the joke fake cleaned up image Brian Epstein created for them in their early days.In reality they were like pimps playing the part of priests! It's no coincidence that in The Beatles Anthology video series that Paul,George and Ringo made, the story that is reported of The Beatles being thrown out of a US hotel in August 1965 because Paul was found in his hotel bedroom with an underage girl, that is included in the first great Beatles documentary from 1982 The Complete Beatles which none of them had any involvement making,is completely left out of The Beatles Anthology. And obviously Ron Howard left all of this out in his new Beatles documentary The Beatles Eight Days a week:The Touring Years. And there folks is the most bizarre and disturbing defense of The Beatles that I have ever read: The Beatles were not a boy band(perceived a bad thing by this poster) because they had lots of sex with under-aged girls incapable of given legal consent to said sex! So The Beatles were not a "boy band" but they were statutory rapists! Yeah, we need a big train-wreck photo!
