I'll say it again: McCartney - sketches, unfinished, no editorial control, some class among the rubbish Ram - glossy with some great material and some lyrical low points Wild Life - dire, the poorest value for money he ever produced (McCartney II may be in contention) - a small selection of unpleasant and/or pointless pieces which vastly outstay their welcome

As output from the bloke who was so good that he was John Lennon's partner, this was disappointment as deep as it gets.

True Joe, old vectisfabber is one of those "elite Beatles fans" who could not accept the break-up and wanted Paul to be forever Abbey Road! But Paul sucks big time on AR Side 1 with the worst Beatles' song ever, "Maxwell's Silver Hammer," and the much too over-wrought "Oh! Darling!" Every song on Wings Wild Life kicks Paul's ass on AR, the White Album and even SPLHCB!What world am I living in? Old Lowbasso is bewildered too by remarks like the above from JSD......

Hey, I love Wings Wild Life! I think it is Paul McCartney at about his finest. And notice I did not include Revolver in the comparisons. Revolver is Paul at his finest and I see direct connections with Revolver-Wings Wild Life-Chaos And Creation In the Backyard.
Three albums where Sir James Paul McCartney is at his best.
I cannot wait until Wings Wild Life gets the deluxe re-issue box treatment.
I will try to be humble and not gloat, "I told you so!" too much!
