It is official!! A release date of December 11, 2020.
I am reading already major concern that the pandemic will push this release into 2021 as the U.K. is about to go into another lockdown and even in our modern age of music delivery, lockdowns are not good for sales.
Keep the videos and articles coming on Macca III! And did anyone here get the free Macca III dice set sent as a surprise to I believe folks who bought the deluxe FP from paulmccartney.com?

If Macca 3's release is delayed until 2021, i hope he doesn't release it at the same time as the new Let It Be movie.

I think it was the GQ interview of Paul that had some really cool pictures of Paul playing electric guitar, along the lines of the ones posted above by hofner61.
I ordered my Macca 3 C.D. from amazon.com for $13.88. Since I get amazon prime, my total with tax will be like $14.75.
I started to order this from paulmccartney.com but with tax and shipping and handling, it was going to be over $20.00 plus it wouldn't get mailed until December 11, the date of release, whereas with amazon I might get the damn thing December 11 although amazon has not always delivered music so promptly during the pandemic.
I see the colored vinyl versions are selling like fire. I find that humorous because I understand folks like their music on vinyl but colored vinyl?! WTF?!

If McCartney and McCartney II are any indication, 'spect it won't be until 2040 that people will start appreciating the quality of McCartney III. I'll let you all know when we get there.

I am hopeful sayne that Macca III is more like Macca I based upon the new RS review! More acoustic guitar(and electric guitars) is a good thing along with drums, bass and real piano. Synthesizers are bad things in the hands of Paul!

. . . Synthesizers are bad things in the hands of Paul! "Temporary Secretary" is quite good, though. But, you are right about 97.326% of the times he's used one.

I have argued for years that Chaos and Creation In the Backyard is actually McCartney III and easily the best although it came out mid-decade(2005) rather than the start of one.

I think the only reason Chaos and Creation is not classed as McCartney 3 is because that album was not produced by Paul.
McCartney, McCartney 2 and McCartney 3 were all produced by Paul.

With all the shit going on, Paul ought to release it now! We know it is all ready to be released, why wait. An older artist like Paul McCartney no longer has a "Christmas market." Only his diehard fans(i.e., us) will buy this anyway and we will buy this now while we are still alive. It is like Let It Be, how many more Beatles' fans must die before that is re-issued?! Not to be morbid but with pandemics and political turmoil, I get the feeling music buying could take a backseat real soon as just surviving might come first. Get the music out now!

The way Trumps going he might take Macca to court and challenge the release date.
I agree JSD, release them now, Macca 3 and Let It Be, stir the pot.

Paul McCartney is getting justified criticism for the recent announcement of four versions of Macca 3 with different colors and each has a different "demo track." If Beatles Geeks want all four demo songs, they must buy the four albums identical except for the one demo track!
Paul blatantly exploited us Fab freaks with Egypt Station and all the various versions including the infamous plastic suitcase version that all the Macca Mad Hatters fought for!
Here is a good rant on that:

There is unprecedented grumbling and annoyance by fans at Paul McCartney's marketing gimmicks for the upcoming McCartney 3 album and this Facebook post from Carolyn Hurwitz on the Beatles News and Information Page really drove the point home with me as Carolyn is a very ardent Paul fan and if she is grumbling....then Paul you have a PR disaster brewing!

MPL Communications sure know how to generate a turnover, let's hope there is more substance to this album than just gimmicks.
