Those bonus tracks sound pretty good; better than on Gimme Some Truth.

Those bonus tracks sound pretty good; better than on Gimme Some Truth. That comp, GST, is funky. I cannot tell if I love it or hate it. I am so pumped about Deluxe POB51! John may have been a mental basket-case in 1970 but he had his shit together musically on this album!

I ordered this Box today from amazon Prime. Its pre-order price was $135.00. Maybe that will drop by April 16 when this is coming out.
I am excited about it.

I played the 2000 re-mixed version(I could tell by the bonus tracks) this morning and it sounded great! I cannot wait to explore the bonus tracks on this upcoming Box and I like how it includes the great Lennon Singles from around this album's release.

I ordered this Box today from amazon Prime. Its pre-order price was $135.00. Maybe that will drop by April 16 when this is coming out. I am excited about it. Amazon.com just gave me a two week window of delivery from two days after the release date into the first week of May! WTF?! The Election is over thus the pandemic is over and toilet paper is plenty so what is this shit from Amazon on not getting this Box I am spending good money for to me on day of release as Amazon always did for new music?!

This is really cool, "Instant Karma(The Evolution Mix)" as we hear early takes of the song.
Take 1 is very guitar driven with George Harrison on guitar!
This is a preview of cool stuff we are going to get from the POB Box!

Man! April 16th is almost here! I would be beyond excited but amazon keeps pushing back my delivery date! Did you pre-order debjorgo and if so, what have you been told as to a delivery date? Amazon is now saying the release date for this is April 23rd (Boo!) but the good news is amazon says it will deliver my pre-ordered Box that day! I searched the official John Lennon website and saw no release date but there is a lot of cool stuff there on this release! April 13 will see the release of a Demo version video for "Give Peace A Chance."

They say my delivery will be on the 30th. I don't pay that yearly fee, or whatever you do to get that status.

This is very cool, for those of us who love John's singing voice as natural as possible:

The deluxe Box of POB is awesome! I am finding so much cool music and the Evolution Discs are cool and CD 6 is fun where John Rocks out between takes of the recordings!
Here is my review of Disc 4 which is the "Raw" Mixes:
CD4: THE RAW STUDIO MIXES (74 mins)
1. Mother/Take 64: Ringo counts in with his bass drum(I think, the Board musicians will have to weigh in) instead of death bells; single-tracked John vocal! After the, "and I tried to run," John stoically says, "Fuck me" and I am not sure of that context, if he just messed up in the performance(which I cannot hear) or that is a commentary that he screwed his life up by trying to outrun himself. The song ends with a pounded chord on the piano that is cool rather than a fade-out.
2. Hold On/Take 32: Single-tracked John vocal with the backing we are use to. Excellent, John's vocal as nature intended: single-tracked, no studio tricks.
3. I Found Out/Take 3 Extended: Again, John's vocal single-tracked with no reverb, echo or whatever. I am in heaven! Great sharp music backing. John howls on vocal and guitar, it is extended with John improvising Rock and Roll lyrics and the band is cooking! Damn, John, Klaus and Ringo are a tight trio!
4. Working Class Hero/Take 9: Largely the same, John's vocal is clearly out front but not uncomfortably so. The plaintive acoustic guitar playing is still cool, Bob Dylan would be impressed.
5. Isolation/Take 29: Again, powerful single-tracked John vocal even in the, "I don't expect you," part but it is good enough here! Wow, I have spent my life looking for takes of John's vocal unadorned by studio trickery as he was want to do and here it is on this CD 4 in abundance. Now if only we could get such for the AHDN through Revolver Era!
6. Remember/Take 13: Broken record but John's vocal is single-tracked but absolutely compelling, no reverb as I think is present on the original version. John is in my living room performing this. Klaus kicks ass on bass as does Ringo on drums!
7. Love/Take 37: Prominent piano opening that we can actually hear and it is beautiful and then John's acoustic strumming and finally single-tracked vocal. This is my new favorite version of this song with a surprise extended piano closing that is very lovely! Wow! The definitive "Love!"
8. Well Well Well/Take 4 Extended: Damn, this is awesome, another single-tracked John vocal that is crisp, sharp and makes the lyrics come alive! It punctuates such whereas the reverbed up, doubletracked(?) original vocal makes it somewhat hard to know what John was singing. John ends the extended jam laughing and says, "Fooking hell!"
9. Look At Me/Take 9: Beautiful with John's vocal much more prominent than on the original. Not here but on the "Evolution" version, John mentions how hard it is for him to do the guitar picking but noted that he did it on "Julia" and at some point mentions "Blackbird" as to guitar style but very matter-of-fact and seriously with respect.
10. God/Take 42: John's single-tracked vocal brought forward, maybe too much but nonetheless powerful. We can really hear John spit out Kings, Elvis, Zimmerman and Beatles! The "I just believe in me" does come in too loud I am afraid but I can overlook it for a single-tracked effort. John just broke my heart with the, "and now I'm John."
11. My Mummy’s Dead/Take 1: Raw!
12. Give Peace A Chance/Take 4 Extended: This rougher, or rawer LOL, but I am enjoying it more than the Single which is a sonic mess to me.
13. Cold Turkey/Take 2: This is cool, pretty much the version we are use to but the vocal is "cleaner" and the guitars cleaner. That is a sound I like! But for a song on heroin withdrawal maybe studio trickery and distortion is called for!
14. Instant Karma! (We All Shine On)/Take 10: Oh my God, this is my new "go-to" Instant Karma!! John's single-track vocal without the famous Phil Spector reverb(which I like BTW)! I am going to wake up and not have these glorious single-tracked, natural versions of John's singing voice!
15. Mother/Take 91: The electric guitar version that we first heard on the John Lennon Anthology! This is a little different mix from the aforementioned as the false start is edited out, but I am glad it is here!
16. I Found Out/Take 7: Another cool version, John kind of "swings" in his vocal delivery. There are at least two versions, this is the third, where during the guitar break John in time to the music yells "Yoko!" four or five times like a cheerleader and it is probably good that that got eliminated for the released version!
17. God/Take 1: This is interesting, John sings this much more laid-back but there is still an understated power and beauty in the vocal delivery! There is none of the gasping or extra-emphasis placed on certain persons or things. Pretty cool though, that might have been how Bob Dylan would have sung it unless he was in his "Like A Rolling Stone" frame of mind where he would have sung it just like John did on the record, all animated and such!
This is a good Disc to track down on some service like YouTube or Spotify. This is the Disc a Kurt Cobain, or Neil Young, or Eddie Vedder, or any number of artists from many musical genres would absolutely love and adore. John Lennon singing as naturally as possible! With Spartan but excellent musical backing!

It is a compact, handsome Box, I think that you will find a lot to enjoy Debjorgo!
I have not played the Blu-Ray Discs yet but I do not have surround sound at home, just stereo speakers like in the olden days.

Here is "Cold Turkey(Take 1)" which right now is my favorite "surprise" from the POB50 Box.
I love the battling guitars of Eric Clapton and John Lennon.

Did it come and if so have you enjoyed the Box? Yeah, it came last week. I'm waiting for a good window to give it the proper listen. Probably this weekend. I said that about the Flaming Pie Box from the PMAC Series and I still have not gotten around to opening it from the shrink-wrap plastic! It included auto-rip so I ripped the music to my iTunes Library from an amazon e-mail link and never bothered opening the actual Box. I am excited for you to fully explore this when you have time. I want to sit down and explore the Blu-Ray Discs which I have not yet touched from my POB Box.
