It may be nothing, but Ringo's web page has been pretty dead for awhile now. No new video updates, nothing.
Of course, he seemed in good shape at the Radio City Music Hall concert, but, overall, he seems to have temporarily retired. Not even a recent grouchy rumble from him.
Thoughts?

After all, Paul did show up at Billy Joel's last Shea concert.

He doesn't do those guest appearances generally. And especially a Beatle one, since he and Paul were just at Radio City.

Maybe that means Ringo is really breaking a sweat on this new album and actually working for once. Perhaps this album won't be crap like his last two albums. Ringo is so damn lazy as to his music(and pretty much every thing else in his life).

Maybe he's chowing down at the Early Bird Special.

Still no sign of Ringo. What's he up to? I've not seen or heard anything since E3.

Ringo is the sole producer(hence the title "Y Not") for the first time ever on one of his albums. Not to be a bummer(who me? ;D ) but I am expecting nada from this album, not a darn moment of pleasure. I loved Ringo's "Liverpool 8" song from the last album but that was it. The rest stunk and the album before it stunk. At least Paul is making good new music!

I think he needs it. As for Paul, we were all nicely surprised by the Fireman. Don't keep expecting that. In other words, Paul's gonna play it safe for a while, I think.

Thanks John, Choose Love took a bit of time to grow on me, and maybe Liverpool 8 took even longer, but in the end, I found them both enjoyable, but that's just me. The fact that the first single is a duet between Ringo and Paul about friendship, makes me a bit excited, and as Steve said, the video on his site shows a very rockin' Ringo, a different direction from Liverpool 8. I hope Ringo and Paul do a video for it, and hopefully Ringo will perform some of the new songs on tour, hopefully he'll tour in 2010. Ringo has surprised us a few times.

BTW, does anyone know when Ringo will be getting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame thingie. I know it is someone time in 2010 but I would imagine (promotion being the key thing) it might be sometime around the album/tour launch?

I hope the friendship song with Ringo and Paul is not as corny as "A Friend Like You" which is a song Brian Wilson did with Paul several years ago on Brian's Gettin' in Over My Head album although I love it for the corniness! I never could get into Choose Love although the title song was pretty good live I must admit. My favorite Ringo surprise was 1992's Time Takes Time which I still find to be a very, very good album. For a time I thought that Vertical Man and Ringo Rama were even better but Mark Hudson's production style actually wears on me as time goes on and I think much less of those albums now and I still turn to Time Takes Time when I want serious solo Ringo. I will buy the new Ringo album and maybe I will be pleasantly surprised. I hope so!

Not saying it's a Beatles reunion, but it's the closest we will ever get to it. As you said before, the Liverpool 8 song was pretty good, sort of in the same line as Never without you.

Whenever two Beatles get together in a song, it has a certain magic touch to it : So Bad All those years ago King of Broken hearts Beautiful night Photograph It don't come easy at the moment that's all I can think of, but I'm sure there are many more.

While really just a jam, it is cool to hear The Beatles' rhythm section get in a groove! The lyrics are very forgettable but just listen to the bass and drums!

It's such a shame that Ringo (who should have been there) didn't make a surprise appearance on the last night of Paul's Citi Field show. They could have done 'Act Naturally' just like in the Shea concert then ended with 'Beautiful Night'. That would have been the icing on the cake.

Anyone know the complete song listing of Ringo's Y Not album, coming out in January 2010. I've heard a few song titles, but not the whole song listing.

It's a great jamming song, infectious drums and bass. Could have been a Fireman song. It could have been! That's a good call. Thanks John, Is it just me or does it seem that the first two Fireman albums are merely 12 inch remixes simply called an album ? Do they seem like real studio recordings in the same sense as Electric Arguments, which by the way is excellent. Sorry if I've gone off topic, not sure where else to ask this question.

Possibly in the Paul section?

Also, "You're Sixteen", "La De Da", "Private Property", "Attention" and "Sure to Fall"--Ringo and Paul.
Hmmm, Ringo and Paul may have as many collaborations--if not more--than Ringo and George did during the solo years.
