It makes up for years when you were plugging away on your wonderful Beatles' Abbeyrd News Page and the lads weren't front page news. But taking Bart may get you in trouble at the radio station!

Steve, that photo makes you look like Brian Wilson (and I mean that as a compliment!)

I haven't listened to the audio yet, though. I listened to the first 20 minutes of your interview Steve, online from New Jersey. You did sound a little nervous at first. The only thing I disagreed with was suggesting people buy the mono set over the stereo set, if you were only going to buy one. I think the general public will prefer the stereo versions overall, and I am telling my friends who are not Beatle fanatics like myself to go with the stereo versions. I think the monos are for the connossieur Beatle fan who has to have everything out there. After reading your site all these years, your voice was not at all what I imagined! Your voice makes you seem a very laid back guy, and you sounded younger than I imagined! Great job on the radio!

Congrats Steve! For those not from the Bay Area, KGO is THE top AM radio station in the market, #1 for something like over 30 years. This is tremendous coverage for Steve and his Beatle ventures.
Hey Steve, what's Ronn really like?

Hey Steve, what's Ronn really like? He was very nice. He knew of me from my work in the newspaper business and he also knows my sister, who's a political writer. It was fun. I hope I get invited back.

I said if they could only get one now, get the mono since the stereo CDs will be around for a long time.

How did I screw that up? Probably because the interview was at 11. Sigh.

I enjoyed the interview. I kind of wish 09/09/09 and its Beatle buzz could last forever. I suspect there will be buzz again closer to the holidays when people start shopping for presents.
Now I need time to digest this material. I am looking at these two boxes feeling almost overwhelmed. It is a nice problem.

Carla M is the go-to political reporter in these parts. She rocks too!
