I still miss the great man to this day. Hear, hear. I hope there's an alternative universe where Chapman's attempt at topping himself was successful and where John still held his rightful place at the top of the pile.

I think if John had lived he would still have been with Yoko. John being who he was could have really been with anyone he wanted but not everyone is for John. He needed a Yoko type and even if it meant he did have another separation with Yoko he would still be back with her because she is the only woman who could fulfill both his mothering yearnings and challenge him intellectually, inspire him artistically.
The wildcard is that Yoko doesn't take crap from no one and she could have got tired of John and his insecurities and moved on, I think Yoko is the only Beatle wife who in the beginning did not tolerate being treated like dirt. But I think they went through and overcame that phase in the 70s, they were in a great place in 1980 and ready to do their thang again !!
I wish John had at least one more solo album in the late 70's and that they did finish the Milk and Honey project and toured, there was a second coming of John (and Yoko) that we only saw the start of.
