I've never known anything about Ringo's better half, Barbara Bach, and I've recently investigated to read a bit about her. Seems interesting; according to Wiki she earned a Master's Degree in psychology in the early 90s. Then, I saw random photos of her on the Web... Suddenly, I understand why Ringo was too busy to make records in the 80s...

You've never known anything about Barbara Bach?
I can't comment on her intellectual abilities, or her qualities as a human being, but I think it's fair to say that she has always been a considerable hottie.
Let me point out, before anyone else does, that I am an extremely superficial person.

Barbara went through her own substance abuse issues and I really give her credit for sticking with Ringo through the 1980's when Ringo was at his lowest artistically and financially and her good looks ensured that she could have hooked up with any rich and famous man that she wanted. Ringo and Barbara's is the great forgotten Beatles romance. We get bombarded with John and Yoko this and Paul and Linda that and now with the HBO film we are getting the George and Olivia story(that is the real enigmatic "romance") but Ringo and Barbara seem like real soulmates.

Nice of you to say so, but I am. Really I am. I am so superficial that I have hidden shallows.

I remember her as the "Bond girl" in "The Spy Who Loved Me" (I forget her character's name, but does it matter? )

I think you red-blooded, hetero males will join with me in saying -- 'Good job, Ringo!' Does my one-time only man-crush on Hollies' lead guitarist Tony Hicks disqualify me from this grouping as I find Ms. Bach very attractive too. Oh yeah, I forgot about John Oates, you know, the dark, perky one from Hall & Oates. It was one of those quirky twists of fate that Barbara Bach appeared nude in the 1980 Playboy edition with the John Lennon interview, the one that hit the stands right before or right after the murder.

I was going to mention that Playboy issue before I saw your post. That is where I was first introduced to Barbara intimately. I still have a copy of it somewhere. I got a lot of use out of that issue.
