I also liked the comments he made about George.
Nice going Joe. Turning a potentially interesting thread into another slamfest on Paul and his, well, anyone around him.
Thanks for posting that interview Rocko.

Nice going Joe. Turning a potentially interesting thread into another slamfest on Paul and his, well, anyone around him. Nice going Snookie. Playing self-appointed policeman again and telling people what they can do and say, and even accusing them. It's gotten to the point where any time I post my true feelings on anything I feel you looming over my shoulder. You may not be able to comprehend this, but there are people who find debate interesting and who enjoy veering off the "I Love The Beatles And Everything They Do And Say Is Pure Gold All The Time" routine. Furthermore -- you're only picking on me here, but re-read the thread and you'll find insults hurled at others by others, not just me. Or better yet --- just Sod Off. You are not the Moderator here, so get that through your head.

The very thing you say you're doing. So, you can do that but I can't? If you feel me looming over your shoulder than that's just sad. Paranoia may destroya. I'm not "picking" on you. I'm not "picking" on you. I only directed the comment at you because you're the one that steered the thread into the ditch in the first place. How so? You see, you're carrying on as if I "deliberately" set about to "make trouble" in this thread, or something. I didn't. Snookeroo... I'd like to try and get along with you. I thought we did in the beginning... at least we are both super Ringo defenders! But I'd like to try and impress upon you the realization that what truly "steers a thread into a ditch" is when you come out and start chastizing about where and how you feel a thread has gone wrong. And I say this not just to 'get on yer wick', but to try and help you see something which you might not be aware of. I didn't think this thread was in any "ditch" until now, where you and I are having a 'back-and-forth'. No offense to our own JSD here -- but didn't you see him going sour on some things here as well? If I may say -- it may be lucky for me that you're not a moderator, but I feel your playing mod would be terrible for having a good message board with a free and open exchange of opinions and emotion as "real humans". Steve and JSD do a fine job moderating this forum, and I appreciate that they too seem to think I am an asset to the board, rather than a liability. I mean, try to see the Karlosi glass as three-quarters full rather than a quarter empty!

It was also cool that James took some finger-picking lessons from Paul Simon. Nice when dad has friends like that. Actually, James' dad is a fair finger-picker himself.

I'm not "picking" on you. I only directed the comment at you because you're the one that steered the thread into the ditch in the first place. Hey, I brought up the whole Paul Viagra discussion. That's kind of like taking the thread into the gutter. I never get any credit around here. At the risk of steering the thread off target, my favorite acoustic Paul is probably Blackbird. It is all up and down the guitar neck, terribly hard to play. But it sounds great. And I always liked Stella. I thought the hall of fame t-shirt was great. It's hard to pick a favorite Beatle kid, though. It's like trying to pick a favorite Beatle song. Heather was so cute on McCartney with the puppy dog nose. Mary was the "in the coat" baby. Stella, with all of her star friends, sassing back at Madonna for eating meat. James' album is really growing on me. I always liked Sean a lot, from the 5 year old kid talking with his daddy. "I like it LOUD!" "I know when the world will end. It's blaaooblbyop. You see, I've learned that language and it's the only language I'm going to say it in." I could go on about each of them. I think this is probably rare with entertainment acts too.

Actually I'm wrong. It was about wearing fur. The point wasn't that she was a vegan militant, I eat meat, it was that she was standing up to Madonna. Most people around Madonna are probably star-struck butt kissers.

Did Stella stand-up to Madonna before or after Madonna called her father boring in concert? ;D I'd have more respect if Stella stood up to Madge before that, which could then explain why Madonna went off on Paul.

I liked Mick Jagger's line about Madonna. "There's an essential dumbness to everything she does." Those rock stars can be so-o-o bitchy.

This isn't "picking", but I was reminded of this cool vid of Paul showing how he came up with a very nice little instrumental piece. This is a cool example (IMO) of the greatness of Paul and how he has so much music in him.

I still respect Stella telling off Madonna who I hate about as much as Sheryl Crow. I was just saying I hope it didn't take Madonna's slam of Paul to cause Stella to stand up to the Material Girl. I like to party, Stella likes to party, we were made for each other!

We are all very happy for her, especially JSD....lol
MASSIVE congratulations are in order for Stella McCartney, who just received an OBE from Queen Elizabeth II on Tuesday. What an honor! The designer attended the Investiture Ceremony at Buckingham Palace with husband Alasdhair Willis and looked phenomenal in a navy skirt suit of her own design and cobalt blue pumps. Kind of similar to Kate Winslet's Queen-meeting outfit from last year! An embellished and veiled headpiece gave her the most regal air, and we're sure the Queen appreciated it! Congrats, Stella! You SO deserve it!

Mary McCartney recently posed in a McCartney I shirt and besides being cool as Mary was, of course, the child in the photo snuggled in Paul's jacket, I was struck by how unhealthy she looks and this was not lost on several fans who posted 0nline their concerns. As I noted in the McCartney III Thread where fans are uncharacteristically calling Paul out on his greedy marketing of the new album, I am astonished that fans are speaking out their concerns for Mary on a Paul fan page. That just never has happened in the past! Let us hope that Mary is okay because I agree that she does not look healthy!

Agree - she looks too thin, and .....severe. This would be such a wonderful photo if 1) she didn't look ill and 2) she were smiling or generally looking happy. I know this is not a happy time for many of us - make that all of us maybe - but why post a pic that's going to make everyone wonder if you are ok?
