A nice video update by Ringo. Now that is a great little video! Ringo looks so excited to be back in NYC and staying at The Plaza! I think he really got into the celebration last week. Too bad it was so damn cold and miserable in NY that he decided to head back to LA after they filmed the Letterman interview. He might have have popped in to Beatlefest if he had been in town! PS I thought The Plaza had been converted completely into Condos, or Co-Ops, and wasn't a hotel anymore?

Very nice to see. Yeah, it's too bad Ringo didn't stick around for The Fest. I still can't imagine how Mark Lapidos would have to handle the security, even if Ringo were to be an unannounced surprise last moment guest. Even if he just stood on stage for five minutes to say hello and 'Peace and Luv'... Would there have to be cops present? Would fans rush the stage even if Mark asked in advance that he had a surprise for them, but to be respectful?

A nice video update by Ringo. At the 5:24 mark, does Ringo look a bit put-off when Paul said they never played Hey Jude together and he had to remind Paul that the did when they recorded it? Maybe Ringo remembered the time when Paul dogged him or told him how and what to play or when Paul actually did the drumming.

Mark was on our "Things We Said Today" show and tried to suggest he could handle it if a Beatle showed up. I don't think I'd want to see that and anyway neither Ringo (especially) or Paul would do it.

Mark was on our "Things We Said Today" show and tried to suggest he could handle it if a Beatle showed up. I don't think I'd want to see that and anyway neither Ringo (especially) or Paul would do it. I would want to see it. And although I'm with you in thinking that Paul and Ringo would most likely never do it, I'm not prepared to say "definitely not". They've already mellowed about a lot of things over the years -- now you've got Ringo playing on 'Hey Jude' where Paul said he refused to do that songs for BROADSTREET. Now they routinely show up together to play side by side where once they avoided it due to "Beatles Reunion Rumors". (And other things, etc..). So I think Paul and Ringo are the ones who would have to decide, and you never know, one or both of them could change their feeling some day. Would I bet money on it? No!

Maybe Ringo remembered the time when Paul dogged him or told him how and what to play or when Paul actually did the drumming. That was interesting, Ringo's reaction, and I also thought of the David Frost promo film(s) of "Hey Jude." There was live playing there if not entirely. In fact, I envisioned the Beatles family recreating that promo film at the CBS special with Yoko, Sean, Olivia, Dhani(he was onstage to Paul's right with his own mic), Dhani's wife, Kyoko, Barbara, Nancy, et al, surrounding Paul and Ringo just as those people did in the video while they sang the fade-out. I get all sentimental like a school girl thinking of "The Beatles Family" all onstage together.
