One wonders why it wasn't included as an extra on the MMT bluray.

Or at least, this ONE wonders...

One wonders why there WAS a MMT Blu-ray. Or at least, this ONE wonders... JcS Because it's The Beatles. And MMT is a very colorful psychedelic trip, with some good early examples of "MTV Music Videos".

We've seen everything new and exciting... No wait! What's this? Once again, courtesy of wogblog: wogew.blogspot.com/In this clip there is no lip syncing. In MMT Paul is in a concept film for Fool on the Hill prancing about, but we later saw film footage of Paul lip syncing to the song on Anthology. I really have to wonder if somewhere in a "can" there is film footage of the Beatles lip syncing to Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields. That to me would be a "holy grail" of Beatle videos.

There is some lip-syncing from George on "I say yes but I may mean no". Paul is doing hand-syncing with hello and goodbye waves.

I didn't watch it all the way through, and of course on other versions they are lip syncing. The thing that most makes me wonder if they did any lip syncing footage on the two iconic songs, is the part at the end of Penny Lane where Mal brings in the instruments.

And George does a "Guitar Hero" pose at the place where there are those short lead guitar fills, that was pretty cool because in real time playing George was too modest to posture like he pretends to in this clip! This clip was cool. My Beatles' Bro from college, Sly Rose, shared this a couple days ago on Facebook so I gave it a "Like."

Let it Be, uncut, with a few alternate lyrics I've never heard.
Let it Be era Paul, singing Let it Be with alternate lyrics. Just when you think...

The guy's name is Keith and he used to own Revolver records in NYC. I bought many "ahem" "collectables" there... I used to have a friend who knew someone like that. My friend had albums and albums of bootleg stuff. He used to put stuff on cassettes for me. He'd get these VHS tapes that he borrowed and get me to dub them down for him. I had two or three stereo VCRs at the time. I'd get stuff like the three Hello Goodbye promos and other rare stuff. He once brought me a copy of the Beatles at Shea Stadium that came straight from the network, whichever one owned the film footage. It was on a video cassette tape and it and the case had the Network labels on them. I would think the network had it on film and that the tape was a copy someone just knocked off when no one was looking. But it was a perfect copy. My copy of it, not so great the last time I watched it.

The guy's name is Keith and he used to own Revolver records in NYC. I bought many "ahem" "collectables" there... I think this was the guy that I met in 1996 when in NYC for Beatlefest over in NJ a couple of days later. Allan Kozinn was showing me some of his favorite stores, and I'm pretty sure it was Revolver where he introduced me to the owner as the guy that wrote the discussions of Beatles lawsuits for The 910. The fellow was quite helpful to me, telling me that one of the bootlegs of Steely Dan was not of pristine quality (I bought it anyway). As we were leaving, Allan was a bit bemused. "He's never told ME about the sound quality of anything, and I've shopped here forever." I told him it had to be the articles (knowing full well, Allan had just written a whole book on the Fabs)... I don't know if everyone is following the Revolver Records posts but I've been skipping over this one. I didn't realize there would be this much McCartney in it. It's all faked. They are not singing Step Inside Love, or at least it is not at all synced.

This isn't Revolver TV but it is interesting, albeit not very good quality. The video is black until about a third of the way through it. It is John and George recording Oh My Love.
We hear George get aggravated at Klaus for telling him the play the low E quieter but he plays it off. John gets pissed when the camera man starts changing the reel halfway through the song.

Cool, deb! Thanks for sharing that! Unfortunately, it makes Ringo look like he didn't do anything on the song and that Paul drummed!
