I've decided not to play the game with Paul. I will listen to III on YouTube, Spotify or some other service, and wait for the special edition that pulls together all the stray tracks that are on the various versions.
Or...by the time the special edition comes out, I may be tired of listening to it, and Paul gets NO sale from me for the first time in a LONG time.

Before the controversy arose, I pre-ordered what I thought would be the standard version foolishly forgetting that Paul likes to keep adding to his albums with subsequent releases with minor additions as a way to jack up sales!

Thanks JSD.
Find My Way sounds like it is left over from the Memory Almost Full sessions, i liked it.
When Winter Comes sounds likes he's reminiscing about life on the farm in the early 70's.

I was under the impression that this album was all new but you are sure right Hofner61, Paul's vocals on both songs sound, "like a relic from a different age!" I love it but am surprised thinking everything was recorded in "Rockdown."

Maybe Macca's goons have been patrolling the internet looking for leaks to plug prior to release date, found this link and ordered it removed. I've listened to these 2 tracks, i hope these goons don't come knocking on my door, armed with a copy of Driving Rain, that they will force me to listen to multiple times as punishment for not waiting until December 18.

LOL, if I am never heard from again then the Macca Mad Hatters got me for posting that link to new music! I was once a huge supporter of Driving Rain when Steve Marinucci first started this Board in the Fall of 2001 but my enthusiasm has waned on it since although there are songs I still love from it. At least Paul still largely had his singing voice we knew and loved.

I wasn't too impressed with either songs. I certainly don't need four CD copies of them, even if they are in different colors.

LOL, but if you buy all four, you get the four "unique secret bonus demo tracks" and maybe two of them will be demos of the two songs you were not impressed with! I am happy to have ordered the $13.99 regular CD but we all know there will be many more configurations of Macca III even beyond those colored ones.

There is unprecedented grumbling and annoyance by fans at Paul McCartney's marketing gimmicks for the upcoming McCartney 3 album and this Facebook post from Carolyn Hurwitz on the Beatles News and Information Page really drove the point home with me as Carolyn is a very ardent Paul fan and if she is grumbling....then Paul you have a PR disaster brewing! Done before the release date was pushed back: No suitcase with this? How am I supposed to carry it?

What about the last question, "are we going to get a McCartney 4 in 2030" ?
How could Paul answer that, he'll be pushing 90 years of age (88) by then, he might be confined to a rocking chair, waiting for Let It Be to be released.

LOL, I bet LIB still won't be re-issued in 2030! Yeah that was a silly almost cruel question and Paul chuckled nervously doing the math you just did Hofner61 on what his age would be in 2030!

Chuck Berry released an album of new material in 2017, when he was 90 years old. Well, he been dead for three months when the album came out but it was recorded between 1991 and 2014, when he was 65 - 88.

Unfortunately, Paul is pushing McCartney II music on us in anticipation of McCartney III and here is the remastered video of "Waterfalls" where Skippy, I mean Paul, walks about like a young dandy:

This is obviously the most recent promotion for McCartney III but wouldn't it be a trip if one's cellphone rings and Caller ID says it is Paul McCartney! When you so text Paul you are also instructed to put Paul in your contacts.

It's the day before the official release of McCartney 3 and this morning i found a leaked copy of this album out there in the ether. I have listened to this album once so far. Song 1 - Long Tailed Winter Bird is an instrumental, it does have a couple of vocal murmurings within it but for me it's an instrumental. Song 2 - Find My Way is not too bad, it has some of So Bad's high singing style in it and an abrupt ending. Song 3 - Pretty Boys, i hope Paul's not thinking of jumping the fence at his age. Don't know what to think of this song. Song 4 - Women and Wives, a piano ballad that's not going to knock Paul's classic ballads off their perch, not sure if the issue is the lyrics, the singing or both. Song 5 - Lavatory Lil, i think in the end, Paul flushed her, is he having a dig at his ex ? Song 6 – Deep, Deep Feeling, not a bad song at 8.27 minutes long, Paul sings, "sometimes i wish it would go away", if you stick with it until the end, it does. Song 7 – Slidin’ , a good guitar riff driven song, i like the treatment on the vocals, my favourite song so far. Song 8 – The Kiss of Venus, an acoustic guitar driven song, i think Paul is trying to convince himself he can still sing up high. It's an OK song. Song 9 – Seize The Day, good song, for me it's one of the better songs on this album. Song 10 – Deep Down, another OK song, the drum sound is familiar, not quite sure from what though, maybe some parts of FAAB. Song 11 – Winter Bird When Winter Comes, another good song, this one sounds likes he's reminiscing about life on the farm in the early 70's.
