A friend of mine can't make it tonight for Ringo's concert at Radio City Music Hall, so I have an extra ticket for anyone who wants it. Ticket price is $54.50 and the seat is in the second mezz. You can pay me right away or later on, it doesn't matter.
If interested, contact me off group with a telephone number I can reach you at before 5pm today, June 24th, 2008 and we'll arrange to meet in front of Radio City Music Hall. If more than one person responds, I'll go with the earliest time stamp on the message.
Cheers,
Old Fred

Good luck Fred and have fun! I had two extra seats for Paul's grand finale at Soldier Field in Chicago in 1990 and I was irritated at two friends who backed out at the last minute but when I got there I sold them at cost to two young, hippy-looking girls who I thought would enjoy the show and looked about broke. Of course the tickets were right next to my other two seats and when the show started two Yuppie men sat next to us and they had bought the tickets from the hippy girls for a substantial mark-up! Goes to show that you can't judge a book by its cover and get the most that you can from your ticket! ;D

Couldn't sell the ticket. Oh well. Great show, though.

SH&T!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would have bought the damn ticket, Fred!!!! It's rare that I don't go online here, but I've been involved in an ongoing conversation at another board which has taken up all my computer time!!!! The one friggin' day I miss the Beatles Boards, and I miss the ticket!!!! It also would have been a great chance to meet you, in addition to the show!!! I got home from work today at 4:15 and had I checked this site.....

The one friggin' day I miss the Beatles Boards, and I miss the ticket!!!! Perhaps a vigorous debate on the merit of some horror movie? Don't get me started on unsold concert tickets I've been left holding. Sometimes I get excited about a concert and buy six tickets thinking I can easily round up three couples(my wife and I included) and lo and behold, my friends don't share my enthusiasm. One example was R.E.M. during their Monster tour. I figured that would be the hottest show going. It might have been but not with my friends. At the show(Verizon Wireless Music Center in the middle of nowhere as ChuckE knows), I couldn't give the extra tickets away. There are a couple other concerts I have let my enthusiasm run away with me including Macca's 1990 grand finale but thank heavens that Paul's 1989/1990 ticket prices were not like his 2002 and 2005 prices!

Believe me, John... as you already know, I feel your pain. After a friend of mine has stood me up for Paul McCartney *AND* Brian Wilson shows, I no longer consider him when I'm buying concert tickets. I've also eaten double-bought tickets for Aerosmith, and probably a couple of other shows somewhere along the line. OldFred, I'm sorry you couldn't sell the extra ticket (and also sorry that Joe missed his chance), but I hope you enjoyed the show anyway. NP: Bob Dylan, "Tangled Up In Blue," The Essential Bob Dylan
