This article was in my newspaper. It is also posted on Ringo's web site. In about the 6th paragraph, the article states that he was the first one to say that he wanted to leave the Beatles. Was this during the Let it Be sessions? If I recall correctly, Ringo walked out on The Beatles during the White Album sessions, making him the first to leave. He was later talked into retuning by the other three. Things were starting to fall apart in late 1968.

Listened to some Billy Squire the other night, since I was thinking about the All-Star Band:
With "In the Dark," "The Stroke," and "My Kinda Lover," Billy came up with quite a string to open an album. There aren't many albums from that era with such a strong opening.
I wish he would play "Nobody Knows," his song for Lennon, during a solo set.
Has he played "My Kinda Lover" with Ringo? That song could be joined to "Back Off Boogaloo" -- the drum fill is the same. It would nice to see such links made between songs, considering the different eras of the players. But then Ringo would have to concentrate more on the music and less on who is recording the show. (If that story is true as told, it's pathetic.)
