The iTunes blurb today about Let it Roll says something about the songs being pulled from George's eight essential (or something to that effect) studio albums. Really? So 33 1/3, for one, simply doesn't rate?

So 33 1/3, for one, simply doesn't rate? No kidding! Okay, if they wanted to avoid regurgitating just all Top 40 hits and include some killer album cuts, why not include the awesome "Beautiful Girl" or even the rocking, kind of bitchin' hot boogie of "Woman Don't You Cry For Me?"

I bought the CD the other day from Best Buy. They had it on sale for 9.99. The CD is, imo, definetely aimed at the casual fan of George. I standby what I wrote before and that is too much is missing for the hardcore fan. Also, to my ears alot of the songs sound kind of flat although the songs from Concert for Bangla Desh songs seem to sound better. The liner notes to me were rather generic and nothing new and would probably be informative to the more casual fan of George.
For the hardcore fan this could've easily been made into a 2 or 3 cd disc compliation, in fact they should've gone for a Anthology type box set that included demo's unreleased songs.
Anyways I have it for my collection but I doubt it will be played much, overall I find it kind of a boring and not very well thought out Cd.

The way 'Let It Roll' is doing so well sales-wise, who knows, it may have a chance of becoming the George version of The Beatles '1' CD.

"Let it Roll" is currently ranked #1 on Amazon. You Go George!! Yeah because no one can find it in retail stores. Someone ring me when it is #1 on the main Billboard Album Chart, not some sub-species like Billboard Old Fart Album Chart or Billboard Hard To Find Album Chart. These are ex-Beatles, we fans don't need to lower the bar with citing charts that would not count towards the criteria used on the aforementioned 1, for instance.

Why, my CD is no. 111 on Billboard's unsigned washed up old Italian American rocker chart. Too bad there is only 110 CDs in this genre. ;D ;D

It just seems that there are a dozen or more charts now just for albums and our guys score well on all of them except the flagship Top 200 Album Chart(or is it Top 100, I can't even remember).
