Can USC ever be stopped? What is your take on USC, sayne? Are they a "by the rules" program or are they cheating dogs that will do anything to recruit the best athletes regardless of them as students and good citizens.
The latter got Lou Holtz run out of Notre Dame even though Holtz had an amazing record there as ND's final season rankings were high in the Holtz years even though he "only" had one National Championship, 20 years ago. I think he had in addition to one final No. 1 ranking, two No. 2 rankings and a bunch of Top 10 finishes. What ND would give now for just a Top 10 finish.
I.U., my alma mater, will be middle of the Big 10 pack again in football. We are going to suck in basketball and are awaiting the hosing the NCAA is going to give us for that dirty cheating son of a bitch Kelvin Sampson who fooled us in Indiana. We thought that he was a toughnosed, hard working coach who learned from his past mistakes. He worked hard but most of it was in cheating. Alas, that is another topic for a future Thread.
No one is going to beat USC in football but I don't think I like their coach unless you tell me that he is an honorable guy, sayne.

No one is going to beat USC in football but I don't think I like their coach unless you tell me that he is an honorable guy, sayne. Sorry, but I'll be honest. You'll NEVER hear me say ANYTHING positive about USC (the University of Spoiled Children). Years ago a university did an independent study on the effectiveness of condoms and found that Trojans were not worth a fuck. ;D But, in all seriousness, the things you said about Kelvin Sampson almost mirror UCLA's new head football coach. Promises, winning tradition, can do attitude, and hopes that he's learned his lessons from past lapses of character. Hope we don't end up like Indiana basketball. As for 'SC, the jury is still out - paying players, not going to class, others doing their school work, etc, but no proof, yet. But, look at Reggie Bush, so the signs are there.

I.U. being considered for Division III, woo hoo! ;D Actually, it will be interesting watching Notre Dame up Highway 31 from me. Yet another rebuilding year with yet another new Head Coach. "Fat Chuck" is gone in disgrace after the former Offensive Coordinator of the New England Patriots was to bring ND a stunning return to glory. sayne, on the bright side, your arch-nemesis USC is hosed for about a decade(although I feel bad for the kids there who are student athletes).

. . . USC . . . (. . . I feel bad for the kids there who are student athletes). For the record, you need to drop the "student" part.
