Again picking the longest of the tracks left--"Dragonfly"--because sitting through it means more minutes of boredom/annoyance than the others.

Get on the right thing. In emoticon the song is a .....y'know, not bad, not particularly inspired. A sort of Gallic shrug of the shoulders instead of high fives. Again, I'm not wild about the Wings production treatment, especially the homogenised Linda McCartney backing vocals -- it's a bit....y'know.... .

The singings not too bad in this rather forgettable McCartney fluff...

Looks like Get On The Right Thing will (rightly) get booted off this time, so I will open up the bidding for the mawkish, overblown monstrosity that is My Love, one of Paul's worst ballads ever. The only reason for this song to exist at all is for the live version onf The Mess on the B side of the 45, which cuts it to ribbons.

One More Kiss
have to say I'm suprised 'Get On The Right Thing' is getting some votes. It's got some lively singing and at least rocks a bit. It reminds me more of a Ram song.

I've always heard the opening lyrics of GOTRT as "All at once you get love on your mind and your world is as kind as a "penny"?!?!? Surely that can't be it ;D. I should look this up, but I'm lazy. Wait, that sounds like another Wings song.
Actually, I voted for "One More Kiss". Kinda twee to me.

JcS Whoa, go Joey, I wasn't expecting *Dragonfly*, to be one of ya votes............JSD, has already fallen to the ground...... ;D I am heartbroken by Joey's harsh words towards "Dragonfly." Joey is very acerbic. This is impossible. This vote is tearing me up. I love all of these. I vote off, because I must, "One More Kiss" although I love it. It was Country before "Sally G" and before Country was cool.

I'm hoping the last 3 will be Big Barn Bed, One More Kiss, and Little Lamb Dragonfly - 3 top tracks which showed that McCartney was recovering his game somewhat (then he went and F'ed it up with side 2!).

"All at once you get love on your mind And your world is as kind as a penny" How kind IS a penny?!?!?!
"All at once you get sound in your ears And your cloud disappears into yellow" Yellow?!?!?! Huh???
Help!!!!

I think it's probably a play on an old English expression 'as bright as a shiny penny', which, to my mind, is a sort of (Vectis will correct me) Dickens-type expression just meaning bright and shiny. It's a very Beatlesque play-on -words. I quite like it.

Thanks Wooltonian. Another example of lyrics that are a bit inscrutable to us Yanks. Acted like a dustbin lid, indeed:)
