3 -- I like it, sort of is in the "Blindman" vein.

2 This is competent. Nothing bad about it, but nothing to put it above average It is yet another example of a problem with many songs. Why in the world is this 5:24 song? There is no need for this to be more than 2:30-3:00 in length. It just kind of goes on

Oh I'll be generous and say 3 when I should dock it for being so long as noted by Coach.
I like when Ringo is a badass and Joe's right, there is a "Blindman" vibe going on here. Of course, I heard this song years before I heard "Blindman."
I will never, ever seek this song out specifically to play but at least when I hear it on the rare times I play "Roses," I can think, "Oh yeah, this one's pretty good."

1.5. There is nothing I really like about it except the groove or the beat. As a song it really is not interesting. The horns sound dated and it goes on way too long. The vocals are half spoken and half sung.

2 (and I'm being generous because of Ringo's natural sympathetic appeal). Aptly named. You couldn't give this clunker away.

1. I take nothing from this and I don't think it's my fault.

Here are the lyrics...
People like you see it comin' a mile off, Find it hard stayin' in line. It's not that no one really hears you, Just that nobody really cares. Like someone who's just seen the light, Like someone looking for a fight.
Same thing ev'ry day, being foolish, Being asked to lose your seat. Don't look to me askin' To be helped up to your feet. Don't you know you're a dead giveaway?
You're a dead giveaway, You're a dead giveaway, You're a dead giveaway, You're a dead giveaway, Dead giveaway.
Don't look to me 'cause i know your game, Nonsense merchant, hall of fame. Take it or leave it, you're a blind drunk, And if you ain't that, you're far too stoned. 'Cause you're a dead giveaway, Smell a rat in ev'rything you do.
Well, you're a dead giveaway, Asked to leave ev'rywhere you go. People say you're a dead giveaway, Dead giveaway, Dead giveaway, Dead giveaway.
Somebody knockin' at the door! You're a dead giveaway, I've seen you happy all the time. Don't live lonely life, Dead giveaway.
Well, it's a dead giveaway, You're a dead giveaway, Dead giveaway, Nobody really cares, Dead giveaway.
Dead giveaway, Dead giveaway, Dead giveaway, Dead giveaway.

I haven't listened to Stop and Smell much since I got it little over a year ago. I have a playlist on my mp3 player where I put the new music I buy. I must have forgotten to put this one on it. Because I haven't heard this one.
I like it.
I going to give it a 3.0 but I might come back in a week or so and bump it up.

I liked Stop and Smell the Roses, but not this one.
The lyrics are much darker than we normally associate with Mr. Peace and Love, though.
So, that makes this an oddity that pushes it up to a 2.

This came up a couple of days ago on my new music playlist. It's pretty catchy, almost a haunting quality. As promised 3.5.
