I gave this a 3, but I was close to giving it a 4. I really like this song. Ringo sings it well. I think it is better than a majority of the songs Paul had on WILD LIFE and RED ROSE SPEEDWAY. Certainly not just a "throwaway" to give to Ringo!

I hit the 3.0 button but its more like a 3.5. I really like Ringo's singing on this one, its a good solid melody and the lyrics are introspective. I like the synthesizer solo too.

4 from me. I really like this song and this is about the best singing Ringo ever did on a ballad type song. I prefer Ringo singing faster Rockabilly like "Matchbox" but this is a very nice effort by Ringo.
I like the sketch Klaus Voorman did for this song in that cool "book" that came with the original vinyl album.

A good song, and Ringo delivers it as well - better, actually - than one would expect.

2. One of the weaker songs on the surprisingly good Ringo album.

At the time, I had a music book called "The New Songs of George Paul & Ringo". It had this song in it. Without having heard it or really looking at the music or trying to play the song, I knew exactly what it would sound like. It was catchy just reading the words. I liked it.
It's good enough. It's not a classic. But it's good enough. 3.0.

2.0
I think it's one of the lesser songs on Ringo, way too many cliches for my liking.

here are the lyrics.....
Six o'clock in the morning, you've just gone to sleep, I wipe a tear from my eye. It can't be the kind of company i keep, That keeps me askin', you keep me askin', You keep me wond'rin' why. I don't treat you like i'd like to treat you, Ev'ry planet in the sky is in your eyes, But i don't treat you like i, No, i don't treat you like i, No, i don't treat you like i should.
It could be the comfort going to my head, That makes me wanna dream of you. But while you're sleeping softly in your bed, I wanna tell you, i'd like to tell you, I'd love to tell you too. I (i) don't (don't) treat (treat) you (you) Like i'd like to treat you, Ev'ry diamond in the sky is in your eyes, But i don't treat you like i, No, i don't treat you like i, No, i don't treat you like i should.
I know you would say, you love my way, It's good enough for you. But i know for sure, i could do more, (more) more. (more) I want to tell you, i'd like to tell you, I'd love to tell you too. I (i) don't (don't) treat (treat) you (you) Like i'd like to treat you, Ev'ry diamond in the sky is in your eyes, But i don't treat you like i, No, i don't treat you like i, No, i don't treat you like i should.
But i don't treat you like i, No, i don't treat you like i, No, i don't treat you like i should. (uh-) But i don't treat you like i, No, i don't treat you like i, No, i don't treat you like i should. (uh-uh-uh) But i don't treat you like i, No, i don't treat you like i, No, i don't treat you like i could.
Hit it! Uh, uh, A-boom-achaca! Well, i don't treat you like i, Well, i don't treat you like i, Well, i don't treat you like i do.
(hey, hey, hey, yeah) Well, i don't treat you like i, Well, i don't treat you like i, Well, i don't treat you like i. (oh, oh, oh) Alright! Well, i don't treat you like i, Well, i don't treat you like i, Well, i don't treat you like i. (yeah, yeah) But i don't treat you like i, But i don't treat you like i, But i don't treat you like i. (yeah)
But i don't treat you like i, But i don't treat you like i, But i don't treat you like i. But i don't treat you like i, But i don't treat you like i, But i don't treat you like i. (no, i don't treat you)
But i don't treat you like i, But i don't treat you like i, But i don't treat you like i.
