If I do the Oz am i really doing the Wilbury Twist ? I love this, great singing from John and I love Yoko's swooning and screaming throughout. This is great John and Yoko fusion. 4.0

1 This is simply not good. Slow and repetitive. In fairness, my low grade may be influenced a bit by the fact that I thought I was going to be hearing "God Save Oz", which I like so I was pretty disappointed to hear this. But even at my most generous there is no way this song could go higher than a 2.

1. On second thought maybe I won't do the Oz. I get the feeling it took John as long to write this one as it took him to sing it.

Here are the lyrics...
Do the oz, Do the oz, Do the oz, babe, Do the oz, Do the oz, Do the oz, babe, Do the oz, Do the oz, babe.
Put your left hand in, Your right hand out. Do the oz, babe, Dance all about.
Do the oz, Do the oz, babe, Do the oz, Do the oz, babe, Do the oz, Do the oz, babe.
Pull your right leg up, Your left leg down. Do the oz, babe, Get it all around.
Do the oz, Do the oz, Do it, do it do the oz, Do the oz, Do the oz, Do the oz, Do it, do it, do it, Do it, do it, Do the oz.
Pull your left wing in, And put your right wing out. Do the oz, baby, Spread it all about, ow!
Do the oz.
Uh, uh.
D'do - d'do - d'do - d'do - d'do - d'do - d'do - d'do - d'do - d'do, D'do - d'do - d'do - d'do - d'do - d'do - d'do - d'do - d'do - d'do, D'do - d'do - d'do - d'do - d'do - d'do Now, now, now, now, now, now, now, Do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, Do it, do it, do it.
Well, do the oz, Yeah, do the oz, Yeah, do the oz, oz, baby, Well, do the oz, oz, baby, Well, do the oz, oz, baby, Well, do the oz, now, baby,
Do it!!

I gave it a 1.
What was he thinking when he did this

I gave it a 1. What was he thinking when he did this It was a promotion for "OZ" magazine, I think - or something like that. "What was he thinking?" -- well, this is typical "weird Lennon". He was always doing odd experimental music like this. Not at all unusual for him.

Please note that a fair amount of Paul stuff has had similar reactions.

I remember being curious way back in time when Schafner called it trash. But it does capture the Plastic Ono sound and I would rather have it than not. So for that I gave it a 2.

Wow, this version is a lot better than the one on Anthology. Yoko's been mixed down, love the guitar sound. Still, there's not a whole lot to the song, very repetitious, lyrically and musically. With this mix, it went from a 1.5 to a 2.5, but only a 2.0 in the poll.

Not too bad. Kinda interesting hypnotic guitar riff, some synths, kinda experimental. Could fit right in on "Electric Arguments." Of course, as usual, the lyrics are pretty simplistic and just another example of Paul's laziness..., uh.....Oh...ummm...check that.
