The sound quality of this one is terrible (recorded on my cheap-ass 60 dollar cellphone). But you might get a weird kick out of this one.

I loved all the videos, thanks Ace and Mike!
Yeah, was that you Ace? You said it was filmed on your cellphone but that implies but does not confirm that you are the artist in the piece. I dug it and I tapped my foot as a bass drum so I participated at home.

Great stuff, Mike! Thanks for sharing. Love the visuals of all the wrenches hanging in the background. Take that MTV. You certainly sound like you could kick it professionally. Yeah, thats me bashing it out on my cellphone... Hope more of you Abbeyrd-ers will post some more home-made music. All it takes is a cellphone and singing along to a Beatles record and the willingness to embarrass yourself in public.
One of the great things about the Beatles music is, its not only great fun to listen to its also great fun for musicians to play. Especially Lennon songs, which are often deceptively simple and yet immaculately constructed. McCartney songs can be a little more challenging because of his wider vocal range and more intricate chord structures. I've heard the other Beatles say the same thing, that John songs were a lot more fun to play -- you can really cut loose -- whereas Paul songs can be a little more painstaking.

I just got done watching a video of Paul doing "Something," his lovely tribute in concert to George Harrison. We all know Paul then does "Here Today" to so honor John, a lovely song released by Paul on his 1982 Tug of War album.
I got to thinking that as his George/John tribute, Paul should do the entire amazing 1969 Abbey Road pulled single "Something"/"Come Together." My God, the crowd would go absolutely crazy with the opening notes of "Come Together" and big Abe on drums would be amazing on those famous Ringo fills! And when Paul started singing the verses, the place would be up for grabs! CT is that good of a concert rocker and Paul is so close to it, having been an integral part of its recording that it would be a cooler tribute than the fine, but laid back, "Here Today."
It makes sense since Paul has been doing "Something" live since 2002. John and George shine on that Allen Klein created single so why not do CT after Something. I know CT starts AR but in concert it would be more dramatic to go right into CT after the final notes of Something.
Just a thought. I would get goosebumps hearing Paul sing CT.

Agreed. That would be a powerful tribute. Here's a cleverly edited version of the Beatles doing "Come Together" live.
