Just come back from seeing it with Big Plod Steve. Scary Mary didn't make it.
Restoration good (although it doesn't put into focus stuff which was filmed out of focus). Good to see the missing songs at last - they are as good as the rest. Sound is clear, but only the audience is in stereo. Mixing not always that good - a bit more trebley than I would have liked.
I had never noticed that Joe English plays a (mostly) right handed kit but plays it left handed, holding down the backbeat on the snare with his right hand.
That Rickenbacker has some balls.
Seeing it on a big screen, hearing it on the cinema sound system (albeit in mono) - wow. That bloke sure could sing and play.

Thanks Rocko for the heads-up. I hope our vinyl people saw this in time to make an informed decision on whether to buy it. I bought the deluxe WOA CD Box last Summer and I still haven't soaked it all in. There is a ton to look at for sure.
I have nothing to gain by endorsing it but my experience with Pop Market as an online retailer has always been outstanding. PM is up front on how soon it can get you the ordered product. One of the McCartney boxes I ordered from them(maybe Ram) took a while but PM warned me in advance. I was just impatient. Last week I bought that American Box and it was in my hands by Friday with no sales tax and shipping fee built into the $149.99 price.

I bought Rockshow on dvd as soon as it was released here in oz, however, i have yet to watch it all the way to the end, what i have seen though is fantastic, they were a great band.
Was this version of Wings Paul's best band, i don't think so, for me his best band played on Tripping the Live Fantastic and the Get Back movie.
Robbie McIntosh was Paul's best guitarist, by a long way...

They probably had great groupies as well. was Linda a groupie before Paul met her ?

Best not respond to that question, given Steve's latest warning...

Best not respond to that question, given Steve's latest warning... Agreed. Plenty of good reading elsewhere on the topic.
