Mundane, but strangely fascinating, home movie of John, Yoko and Sean, I think from 1979.

Yikes, that creeped me out! The dark room, empty bookshelves and what the hell were those white orbs appearing half-way through and floating around the room?! The presence of those is never good!

Mundane, but strangely fascinating, home movie of John, Yoko and Sean, I think from 1979. I'm fairly sure this is from April, 1980. I've seen all this footage before, and at one point the Lennons are having lunch outside and John says "Hello, we're having lunch on April the 12th". The reason I'm thinking it's 1980 is because this is the same collection of tapes that includes John doing two versions of "Dear Yoko" for the camera.

Billy Joel was hot around this time...another what if...

The part i wonder about is when John freezes and stares at the camera. Was he just doing that as a goof? Or did the video footage freeze up?

And why am i so obsessive that i even care about stuff like that? Set the camera up and see what happens. Hell, it's Magical Mystery Tour all over again. Where's little Nicola when you need her?

According to Fred Seaman's book, they had just bought the house (mansion, actually) and this was their first time there, which is why it was so barren. They were there to celebrate Thanksgiving in 1979. According to Seaman, John and him spent the evening getting stoned on strong pot while John talked excitedly about kundalini yoga, his latest enthusiasm. Thanksgiving was the next day, but they had to leave the house abruptly because it turned out it was infested with fleas and they were all scratching their asses off. And there's your Cold Spring Harbor up-date.
