Mick and a face-making George. From Beatle Photo Blog and said to be at the LA Forum, July 1975, backstage at Stones concert. George's head looks much larger than Mick's! Somewhere there is a Thread I think sayne started called Beatles with Stones or something. I couldn't find it but here we go.

This one sort of reminds me of the Paul and Linda RAM era. Or maybe the Life magazine PID story.

Maybe Mick was asking George why the Stones were never going to be as big as the Beatles and the photo was taken just as George was about to ask if they ever listened to the crap they recorded..

Wow! Looks about 1965 but I didn't think Ringo re-grew his beard until after the break-up - or was that his "get-up" from the "Help!" scene in the airport?

Didn't John and Ringo go on holiday together to Tahiti or something? John's hair looks like he is not so concerned about his moptop either, so my guess is they are on holiday somewhere.

I just read in Keith's book how he blew Lennon and Harrison shit for wearing their guitars up by their necks. As Keith points out, one can't properly play guitar like that! Keith noted that all the Liverpool boys did that and Keith wrote that they looked like dorks! I must admit the Beatles look like goofballs with their guitars up by their necks!

At least Lennon and Harrison could play with 6 strings, Richards gets bamboozled after 5 strings

I still remember playing Rock Band on my playstation 2,they had loading screens with hints and things. There was one that said, "Do not wear your guitar above your waist, you are not a Beatle."

The Beatles were always doing things to make them stand out from the crowd. The Everly Brothers used to have their guitars ride a little high. Maybe it was a tribute to them.

I'll take another turn. Click to enlarge. No doubt from Tammy's collection. Can't say for sure.

Wow, a rather optimistic greeting in 1970. This must have been a PR thing from Apple but interviews from some of the Fabs in 1970 envisioned solo work and group efforts all co-existing.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone else wrote this. I'm sure one of Klein's guys could have forged the signatures. Giving it the benefit of the doubt, from the handwriting, I'd say George wrote the letter. He said something similar in an article at the time, didn't he? Even after Paul's announcement.

I agree, someone else probably wrote this. I did just notice the John "Ono" Lennon signature. And yes, George was the exact guy I was thinking about who thought that The Beatles could take breaks but still do something from time to time. I thought maybe John also said something like that but I am probably wrong.

I thought maybe John also said something like that but I am probably wrong. I think you're right about John saying that too. He was probably saying that due to urging from Klein to keep the breakup a secret until the contract with EMI was signed. And there was a little bit of "Paul can't break the Beatles up. Only I can do that." Of course Paul took them to court to prove he could break them up. Everyone keep in mind, I speak a lot from memory and I don't have much book learning. I also have a habit of putting a lot of conjecture in, phrased as facts.
