I didn't see "Mumbo" on Disc 3! It would be a great track 8 right after "Back Seat Of MY Car."
No "Mumbo," no buy by me!

I didn't see "Mumbo" on Disc 3! It would be a great track 8 right after "Back Seat Of MY Car." No "Mumbo," no buy by me! I knew you'd notice that! Maybe there could be a disc 5 of some of Paul's more "wild" songs: Disc 5: 1. Kansas City/Hey Hey Hey 2. I'm Down (live) 3. Why Don't We Do It In The Road 4. Wild Honey Pie 5. I've Got A Feeling 6. Oh Darling 7. Oo You 8. Smile Away 9. Monkberry Moon Delight 10. Mumbo 11. Wild Life 12. Hi Hi Hi 13. The Mess 14. Magnetto And Titanium Man (live) 15. Girls School 16. Mores Moose And The Gray Goose 17. Temporary Secretary 18. Old Siam Sir 19. So Glad To See You Here 20. Angry 21. Get Out Of My Way 22. Only Mama Knows 23. Nod Your Head 24. Nothing Too Much Just Out Of Sight

That's a good Disc, Coach! "Nod Your Head" is pretty cool! Not a "Mumbo" mind you but still pretty cool.

This harkens back to a theory of mine that in the distant future there may not be a distinction between Beatle music and solo music. I don't mean that people will consider the solo songs to be Beatles songs, but when people study the works of McCartney or Lennon or Harrison, or perform their songs, they'll consider their entire catalog as one body of work to be studied. Performers will say, "The next song I'm going to play is a Paul McCartney song called The Night Before, rather than saying, "Here's a Beatles song." Or, here's a John Lennon song, Strawberry Fields Forever when he was in the Beatles. Scholars could study the development of George as a writer from Don't Bother Me to Marwa Blues, without even alluding much to the Beatles.
In a manner, it will be like an athlete who switches teams. Their statistics are seen as a whole, rather than a set of stats from one team, stop; then stats with another team, stop, and so on. Or, perhaps it's like a sports franchise that moves to another city, like the Baltimore/Indianopolis Colts or Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans. The team records and stats are continuous. They are not seen as separate.
The Beatles collection of songs will certainly always be played, appreciated, and studied, but I think the line between Beatles and solo will not be as defined as we see it today. Two "proofs" that this could happen are Paul Simon and Sting.

Two "proofs" that this could happen are Paul Simon and Sting. I went to the annual Beatlemania Now show in Wall last night and "the Beatles" did Imagine. There were about 50 children at this benefit, so there is a lot of merit to what you say, though from their perspective it might always be a "Beatle" song.

Why stop at Paul?
I assembled these sets several years ago, burned them to CDR and made playlists for iPod. The idea was to create career spanning compilations for each of the individual Beatles, such as might appear on actual box sets. John, Paul and George get two discs each of Beatles’ songs, Ringo one disc, and the four of them two discs each of solo material. Lennon and McCartney’s Beatles’ discs comprise the obvious mandatory choices, plus what are more or less my favourites of their Beatles’ output. Harrison and Starr’s include all of their self-written and lead vocal songs, unless I have forgotten something. The McCartney and Starr sets have been updated a couple of times to bring them up to date. I think the two disc allocation for solo songs works well for Lennon, Harrison and Starr. McCartney could probably do with four discs, considering the extent of his catalogue.
