We had spoken before about our disdain for scalpers and brokers eating up all the tickets before we "true" fans can get to them and then selling them at a price that prices many of us out of the market.
Here's what I saw for the upcoming Cat Stevens tour. It is something that I've mentioned on this board before:
*** PLEASE READ *** THE ONLY METHOD OF DELIVERY FOR THIS EVENT IS "TICKETLESS". This means no paper or electronic tickets will be delivered after your purchase. Instead, the credit card used for the transaction will represent your ticket to the event. When you arrive at the venue, our staff will swipe your credit card and require a valid photo ID before allowing entry. All members of your party must enter the venue at the same time. If you do not have your credit card and valid photo ID in hand at the event, you will not gain access to the event. The credit card holder must attend the event. All sales are non-transferrable and non-refundable. There are no name changes or alternate pick-ups allowed. No exceptions will be made to these policies.
Even if a scalper intended to buy a set of tickets on his/her own credit card and then went down to the venue to meet the people he/she sold them to so they could all go in together (including him/herself), I doubt that it would be very practical or lucrative.

I like the thought behind this, not sure I like sometimes dodgy stadium workers scanning my credit card yet again. But something needs to be done to make ticket distribution more fair.

I too like the idea and like JSD, I have qualms about a credit card/debit card being swiped. The only alternative is having a bar code in an e-mail which you can pull up on your cell phone and then swipe your cell phone under the scanner. I seen people scan the bar code on their tickets through their phones like this at Paul's 2013 show in Washington DC. These people were having problems scanning their e-tickets. I guess no system they come up with is perfect but whatever would work the best would be good.
