Great photo! It's wonderful to see Ringo getting the recognition he deserves.

I got to worrying that if that is a real leather jacket on Ringo, then Paul may pull out of inducting Ringo at the RRHF!

I agree! The "sickly" Beatle looks the best in old age and has lived the longest (thus far) of the four although John got murdered so we'll never know how his life would have gone. Wouldn't it be neat with the RRHF induction and the new album that we get a bit of Ringomania in the U.S.? It is time that the world be reminded that there was more than one man in The Beatles!

Found this cool video of Ringo playing the drums on a beach I haven't seen Ringo show off that much since the drum solo on "The End" from the Abbey Road Album in 1969! Ok Ringo, how about the "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" solo from Iron Butterfly next......

I bought the new RS and there's a really funny story told by Paul at the start of the article. Paul says that recently he and Ringo were out to dinner with the wives and Dave Grohl, and Paul - knowing about Ringo's sobriety - tried to persuade Ringo: "come on, have a whiskey!"... to which Ringo, not missing a beat, told Paul: "What, so I can look like you?" But then Paul conceded: "I deserved it."

But then Paul conceded: "I deserved it." Funny, the last picture of the three remaining Beatles- it looked like George was trying to give Ringo a drink. In either case- I really hope neither George or Paul were THAT stupid. It is one thing to drink in front on an alcoholic or offer a drink to someone you don't know is an alcoholic-but to thrust a real drink in their face has no excuse. It is pure stupidity and disregard.

By the way, the new RS "reviews" POSTCARDS FROM PARADISE. I put the word in quotes because it's very scant and uninformative. Anyway the album got only 3 out of 5 stars.

Got my copy yesterday. Can't say I was overly impressed with the article, but for someone that hasn't been keeping up with Ringo's career and life, it was probably informative.
I wonder--but not enough to spend the time to look it up--if this was Ringo's first cover by himself. Obviously, he's been on the cover many times as a member of the Beatles.

Panther found the 1981 cover. The initial link I gave opened with this: "Ringo Starr returns to the cover of Rolling Stone on his own for the first time since 1981 in our new issue (on stands Friday)." Read more: www.rollingstone.com/music/news/ringo-starr-beatles-hall-of-fame-inside-new-issue-20150325#ixzz3W4eXgDJd Follow us: @rollingstone on Twitter | RollingStone on Facebook That did not shut the door to the possibility of an earlier solo cover as it simply says, "on his own for the first time since 1981..." Panther, was that all you found for Ringo solo RS covers?

Thanks for that, Panther (and John, I didn't look at the link, obviously...)

When I read the cover story about Ringo in the new issue of "Rolling Stone", I was surprised to learn that Ringo has apparently never eaten Pizza. This was surprising to me because of a commercial he did the 1990's.

And what about the interview's revelation that Ringo will not shake hands with most people(you must bump elbows with him!) because of germs and he eats alone, even from his band buddies(and his menu is pretty Spartan)? Interesting tidbits!

What's this about Ringo being inducted onto the Rock and Rolling Stone cover Hall of Fame?
