Go Paul.....He's finally entered *Another Girl* into his setlist......One of my favourites from the Help movie.....The Beatles themselves have never even performed it live....? Of the Beatles' songs he's never done, for years I'd been hoping to hear The Night Before, and finally he did. At the same time, I hoped he would do Ob La Di Ob La Da, and he did. Another Girl has also been on my list. Lucky Japanese! Other than songs associated with John like Rain, She Said She Said, Tomorrow Never Knows, and Come Together, I'm good as far as Beatles songs are concerned. But, it would be cool to hear I Want to Hold Your Hand or She Loves You, but I'm okay without them. Of the solo songs he's never played live, I think Uncle Albert is the only one I'd really like to hear. Like JohnS, I'm a deep cuts guy, and there are lots of songs that I'd like for him to do that he hasn't, but Uncle Albert is the one "bucket list" song for me.

He has some concept of fan's desires-I have to think he must have his reasons for not doing that. It was his first no. 1 in the US, so you think it would loom large. It is no. 1 on my list, since has already tackled Come and Get it. 2nd for me is Rocky Raccoon.

Can't wait till Paul does *Uncle Albert*, doubt he will?.................If he does will he match this band.....Pure McCartney, they are unbelievable...... Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey - Pure McCartneyFor the McCartney / Wings Fanatics, here is the full concert...... *Awesome*Wait to you see *Back Seat of My Car* (another gem, that Paul has never played).....He should get rid of *Long and Twining Road*, for this great song from the *RAM* album...... Pure McCartney - Concert

My answer to why Uncle Albert was never done live was that it just wasn't a good band/live kind of song.
Pure McCartney proved me wrong. Excellent!

I answered my own question if he ever did it (Another Girl) before, but never saw you already posted it, so then I gave you credit for putting it up first. That's all it was. After watching that live video of Uncle Albert, it remains the top on my wish list, but I won't fork more than $100 to ever see him again, unless I'm in the front row.

Did'nt The Beatles do The Night Before live for the BBC? They recorded a new version for BBC. I don't know if it was recorded in one live take or before a small BBC audience.

I meant live as in "no overdubs"!

I meant live as in "no overdubs"! You were correct, they did perform it for the BBC but even there weren't there sometimes some simple overdubs? The BBC still had recording studios and I didn't think all performances were one-take live takes like in a true concert setting. But yes, you were correct in that there was at least one performance of it outside of the recorded version for HELP! Hey, it wasn't done on that final 1965 U.K. Tour was it? They played some rare things there like "We Can Work It Out," truly live in concert! Edit: Nope, no "The Night Before" on the December 1965 U.K. Tour. But they did do live "We Can Work It Out" and Paul on electric organ for "Yesterday!" Yuck! A great article with pictures of that funky tour: wogew.blogspot.com/2012/03/final-uk-tour-december-1965.htmlThere is a great anecdote that before one show, the kids heard the famous "Day Tripper" riff from behind the curtain and when the curtain opened, it was The Moody Blues playing it on the Beatles instruments and they handed the instruments to The Beatles and thus their set started! The writer said it was a great gag to a great concert!

Yes, thanks for posting that, JSD! That first Manchester photo made me think of Silence of the Lambs! But just a small quibble. Too bad there's no extant audio from the tour...
