Since no one remembered to post this annual thread, I've belatedly created this one. What Beatles related stuff did you get for the holiday? I got my yearly calendar that my mother-in-law always gets me. My sister-in-law got me some Beatles guitar picks. My wife got me the Beatles'1+. But the biggest surprise was this: www.rollingstone.com/music/news/shepard-fairey-on-george-harrison-poster-george-is-a-hero-20141021I had no idea my wife even knew about the artwork. It's cool that someone with the reputation of Shepard Fairey would be so respectful and moved by George that he would want to honor him by creating a work of art.

I received three Beatles gifts this Chrimble with two being related. The first was A Hard Day's Night (Criterion Collection) BluRay/DVD combo. I already had the earlier DVD version of AHDN that Richard Lewis plugged but this was the most recent release and in Blu-Ray. The second and third gifts were from my daughter-in-law and were a coffee mug and jigsaw puzzle with the Beatles' image of them fishing from The Edgewater Hotel in Seattle during their 1964 American Tour. Here is an article on the event. www.feelnumb.com/2009/10/19/book-the-beatles-famous-fishing-suite-in-seattles-edgewater-hotel/She recently visited The Edgewater Hotel and that hotel has an infamous Led Zeppelin connection too. For the first time in years, my family grumbled that I buy for myself all the good Beatles stuff and of course they were referring to the recently re-issued 1 with CD and DVD or Blu-Ray. That was the perfect Beatles gift but I made clear in bold print to all family that I had it already. They should know better by now!

No Beatles related gifts for me this year. I didn't really want anything though, having bought the few new release products I was interested in the month before.

All my friends and relatives have been stricken with a condition going around called pneuo-money-ia.
I did get a nice Beatles' With the Beatles ceramic cup/tumbler, so I feel I made out good.

Doh! I forgot that the new Ringo book "Photograph" would have been an excellent gift idea! It is not expensive and there are great photos in it.

Only thing I got Beatles related was the almost unknown book "Get Back : Imagine....saving John Lennon" as a stocking filler. It's seemingly about a guy who travels back in time and meets the Beatles. Haven't read it yet. But it seems like it's meant to be an enjoyable read and a bit of fun. I hope it's as good as Back to the Future
