Eric Clapton's upcoming release includes a track with acoustic guitar and backing vocals by the same guy that was on Badge.

Maybe leftover from the Journeyman sessions.

As I wrote on Steve's Facebook Page, now that I know George Harrison is not on EC's new album in any capacity then I won't give a cuss about it! One does not treat Pattie Boyd so terrible and escape my eternal wrath!

I quite like seeing EC being interviewed. He's quite honest and well spoken.

EC has learned from Paul how to generate buzz for a new album. Indeed! As Steve wrote in his article, EC(or his people) specifically denied George's presence on FB but that post was deleted. And then an EC Rep tells Steve something about the mystery of all great music! Bah humbug to such mind games! I tolerate them with Macca because I love his music. My fondness for EC does not extend beyond just some, not even all, songs found on any one of his many bloated "Greatest Hits" comps.

There is a development in this story that I'm working on now. I haven't mentioned this on Facebook yet, so you guys are the first to hear about it. (A benefit of being here ... maybe the only one .. ha ha ...)
Anyway, I'll post the link when I get the story done.

ANYONE who knows Beatle folklore know that use of that nickname wouldn't be just thrown around like it could be anyone. Worst case it is Dhani, but I think not..

It may be obvious once we hear it. Maybe it's John on the plane to Toronto in '69! Maybe Jack Bruce. I think George played on his first solo album as L'angelo Misterioso.

Yes, the track will answer some questions. But their attitude about this is really something to see. If it was George, you'd think they would say because that would get people excited. Same, to a lesser extent with Dhani. But if it's neither, it's likely no one really would care. So act like a jerk and just refuse to tell who it is.

Yeah, and what about their statement to you Steve after the FB post was removed along the lines that there is mystery behind all good music? Based on your observation that there is a slight difference in the names, I bet it is Dhani Harrison! And the strumming of an acoustic guitar(rather than shredding away on an electric)is consistent with both George and Dhani when around other great guitarists as sayne and others here have pointed out for years. I am now officially indifferent thanks to EC's mind games.

Steve, you solved the mystery.....it is Dhani Harrison on this new album. I am convinced of it from the clues you unearthed. Dhani is on James' new record too as you reported. Ho Hey Ho, Ho Hey Ho!

Apparently it's Ed Sheeran, who played it live with EC in Tokyo.
