When I first arrived on the board, we used to get into some really passionate, perhaps even volatile, arguments about Presidential elections. Boy, those Bush/Gore, Bush/Kerry, Obama/McCain, Obama/Romney debates we had were fiery.
However, as we went through the years, discussions became less and less common. Which has led us to this year. I'm not hankering for debates on Clinton/Trump, but we have not had any sort of discourse on the Presidential election. Anybody have any theories why not?

Maybe because this is a forum about The Beatles and not about politics? There is a place here for off-topic discussions. Plus, politics matters. The Beatles, Stones, Dylan, Springsteen, U2, Peter Gabriel, and Neil Young, among many others, have taught us that. One cannot have grown up on that music and NOT be socio-politically conscious. JUST talking about how FAB the Fabs were in boring. It's the context that makes them interesting.

Maybe everyone is sick of talking about politics elsewhere? My son said that no matter whom he votes for, he feels he will need to go to Confession afterwards! "And that's all I'll say about that."
