Sad but I thought that he had passed years ago!

We've got Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard left. Anybody else?

I'm not sure I'd put Dion in the same tier as the other's mentioned above. He's certainly iconic but he did't have quite the string of hits they did. But definitely Don Everly.

Dion came from that same era and was one of the acts on Buddy Holly’s final tour. Artists like Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel count him as a major influence.

Still living from the original rock n roll era and had hits then, if not necessarily rock n roll songs:
Johnny Mathis Pat Boone Paul Anka Lloyd Price Cliff Richard (for a non-U.S. example)
Do Tony Bennett and Doris Day count?

Like and respect them both, but they ain’t Rock & Roll. Ray Charles counts because he was a Rock & Roll influence.

I guess he goes deeper if you take the time. I tend to think in terms of how long they kept the hits coming.

Albeit on the very very light side. No pun intended. The others, I guess, I'd consider crossover artists, Paul Anka in particular. Ray Charles left us a few years back. How much WAS that doggy in the window?

Lloyd Price did Stagger Lee and Lawdy Miss Clawdy. I guess you'd have to call him Rock and Roll. I first thought of Personality, a pretty solid pop song.
