16 songs received at least two mentions or were mentioned as being in someone's top 4 overall so they get a bye (see next post for a list of those songs). So I matched up the other 29 songs that got one mention randomly and added three of my own to make 32. I did this pretty randomly, but tried not to put songs on the same album against each other:
Living In The Material World vs. See Yourself
Deep Blue vs. The Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp
If Not For You vs. Horse To Water
Apple Scruffs vs. Looking For My Life
Awaiting On You All vs. This Guitar Can't Keep From Crying
Miss O'Dell vs. Tired Of Midnight Blue
Devil's Radio vs. It's What You Value
Cheer Down vs. Not Guilty
Unconsciousness Rules vs. Art Of Dying
Hong Kong Blues vs. Beautiful Girl
Dream Away vs. Cloud Nine
This Is Love vs. Marwa Blues
Just For Today vs. Dark Sweet Lady
Any Road vs. That Which I Have Lost
Brainwashed vs. The Light That Has Lighted The World
That's What It Takes vs. I'd Have You Anytime

Several difficult choices there, but here they are:
See Yourself (One of my favourites from 331/3, but a difficult choice nonetheless.) The Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp Horse To The Water (Difficult. Apple Scruffs is fun, but HTTW rocks.) Looking For My Life (I find this very touching.) Awaiting On You All Miss O’Dell Devil’s Radio Not Guilty (Another difficult choice.) Art Of Dying (I’ve always loved the guitar on this.) Beautiful Girl Cloud Nine (Fourth difficult choice for me.) Marwa Blues (Gorgeous instrumental.) Just For Today Any Road Brainwashed That’s What It Takes
This has been a good short exercise for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Living In The Material World vs. See Yourself LIVING IN THE MATERIAL WORLD is my pick. I like both songs but Material is the brighter, more upbeat song.
Deep Blue vs. The Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp THE BALLAD OF SIR FRANKIE CRISP. I do like the bluesy guitar fills in Deep Blue.
If Not For You vs. Horse To Water I love George's version of IF NOT FOR YOU. I don't have Horse to Water.
Apple Scruffs vs. Looking For My Life APPLE SCRUFFS is my favorite. Looking for my life never really grabs me.
Awaiting On You All vs. This Guitar Can't Keep From Crying THIS GUITAR CAN'T KEEP FROM CRYING. This is an unfortunate pairing. Two of my top favorites.
Miss O'Dell vs. Tired Of Midnight Blue Again, an unfortunate pairing. MISS O'DELL. I guess Mignight Blue is a little long.
Devil's Radio vs. It's What You Value This pick and another one below, more brutal pairings. I'll have to go with DEVIL'S RADIO.
Cheer Down vs. Not Guilty I love Cheer Down but I'm going with NOT GUILTY.
Unconsciousness Rules vs. Art Of Dying ART OF DYING is my pick.
Hong Kong Blues vs. Beautiful Girl I'll take the cover here. HONG KONG BLUES.
Dream Away vs. Cloud Nine The other hard one for me. DREAM AWAY packs a lot into one song.
This Is Love vs. Marwa Blues I'm not a fan of This Is Love. MARWA BLUES is a little weak, but I like it.
Just For Today vs. Dark Sweet Lady I had to listen to both of these to remember them. Just For Today would not be my pick for anything. DARK SWEET LADY is okay.
Any Road vs. That Which I Have Lost ANY ROAD is great. I like That Which I Have Lost but not as much as Any Road.
Brainwashed vs. Living In The Material World A close one. Since I voted for Living In The Material World above, I'll go with BRAINWASHED here.
That's What It Takes vs. I'd Have You Anytime Not two of my favorites here. I'D HAVE YOU ANYTIME is better.

That last one was particularly brutal. Vote carefully, the votes you make here are much more important than the votes Americans will make this Tuesday!

But the U.S. mid-tern election is more important to even a foreigner like me than the big event that is happening in Australia that same Tuesday: the Melbourne Cup horse race. Down here it is often described as the “race that stops a nation.” That is because even in workplaces things are often put on hold for a few minutes in order for staff and any others present to watch the race on TV. In the state of Victoria, in which the race is held, they even have a public holiday for the occasion. It doesn’t stop me though, not with my almost zero interest in the sport.

I'm from Louisville Kentucky, often called the home of the greatest 3 minutes in sports. I'm not at all interested in horse racing.

Horse sense is what keeps horses from betting on people.
