This NY Times story says "Jagger’s doctors advised him not to go on the remaining 17 shows of the tour but expected him to make a “complete recovery,” according to a statement from the band." I take that as something that happened suddenly, and that would appear to be the case from the circumstances. Jerry Lee Lewis is recovering from what was called a "minor stroke" and after initialing saying he wasn't going to miss any shows, they canceled his upcoming ones. We'll have to wait and see what happens with this. A friend reminded me that when Keith fell from the tree, we didn't hear about it right away. And there was the Japanese McCartney postponement, which we still haven't gotten an official statement as to exactly what caused that though there were certainly rumors.
