This sounds like it will be awesome. I am not sure how we Yanks can listen to it but I am sure there will be a way, especially a playback option later. I think it neat that Sean is hosting it and Julian and Paul, among others will be guests. I am very glad to see Julian involved. Here is the link to the Lennon page about this: www.johnlennon.com/news/john-lennon-at-80-world-exclusive-bbc-documentary/

Thanks Fred! Hey gang, let's hope Sean Lennon is a better interviewer than Mary McCartney was in Wingspan! Who can ever forget Mary asking Paul point blank, with a straight face who "My Love" was written for! My 10 year old stepson who knew next to nothing about Wings blurted out: "WTF?! Even I know it was for his wife!" I suppose the "Hey Jude" story could get awkward with Sean there but I guess if he asks Paul the question then.....

That "My Love" question wasn't as cringy as Mary's supposed incredulity at Yoko bringing a bed into the studio - that whole exchange seemed rehearsed to me!

I really enjoyed Sean Lennon's interviews of his brother Julian and Paul McCartney. The Elton portion was okay but as Elton admits, his window with John was very narrow, 1973 to 1974, although the guys packed a lot of music-making and hard partying in this period. Elton though was good as gold being interviewed by his godson Sean.
And do not believe the headlines from the Liverpool Echo among others quoting Elton as saying he and John had a "whirlwind romance" when in fact Elton told Sean that they had a "whirlwind bromance" which is something very different!
There was a lot of love in the Julian and Paul interviews that went both ways. Julian sounds so wise, I sure wish he was actively making music.
Paul was great throughout his interview but Sean was a better than usual interviewer of Paul as it is clear Sean has listened to Paul's Solo music carefully, Sean of course being a musician himself. Paul was quite tolerant and loving in responding to Sean.
The John Lennon on the BBC is okay, I wish there was more John archived interviews and less Solo music as we can play those records when we want.
The highlights to me were 1971 and 1975 BBC interviews of John. The December 6, 1980 BBC interview was too briefly represented in this program. I could have listened to the whole thing!
I would seek these out and OldFred has given us the links!
