That's 259 days for Taylor. In the US, the Beatles had four albums between August '65 and August '66 to reach number 1, including Yesterday and Today. That's in 364 days. That gives Taylor 105 days to have another number 1, to beat the Beatles record for that. If she is getting number 1 albums by rerecording her old albums, I think she can do it.

If downloading would have been possible in the 60's and the Beatles would have been able to churn out albums at even a faster pace, the Beatles would have been able to have more # 1 albums than Swift. Another factor is that since people aren't spending money on concert tickets, they are buying albums. Beatles will always be #1 in my book.

The Beatles could had released all the BBC stuff back then. I'm sure there would have been a big enough market for it. The Beatles' Story made it to number 7 in '65 and it was just interviews.
