Since the reaction to the 19 songs on the soon to be released Let It Roll: Songs by George Harrison CD is being met with some disappointment, what would you like to see on the soundtrack to the upcoming Martin Scorsese documentary on George?
The Dylan No Direction Home soundtrack was a double CD with some nice rare recrdings on it.

The Dylan No Direction Home soundtrack was a double CD with some nice rare recrdings on it. Obviously as many rarities as they can fit in. I'd particularly would like to hear some of the live tracks from the 1974 'Dark Hoarse' tour, as well as George's last concert in England when Ringo came out to play drums on the encores.

A home recording of a teenage Pre-Beatles George playing Buddy Holly or Carl Perkins. Circles ('68 demo version) Finally a demo of Here Comes the Sun. Beatles rehearsal of All Things Must Pass. Anything George recorded with Dylan in '69/'70. For You Blue ('74 tour version in Baton Rouge). 1976 Saturday Night Live version of Here Comes the Sun with Paul Simon.
...and generally some ATMP tracks stripped back and remixed like George talks about in the EPK for the 2000 reissue.

I'd like to hear any examples of George shredding on guitar. I'd like to see any footage of his home or studio jams with Clapton or Dave Mason or Alvin Lee, especially Side 4 of ATMP.

Beatles rehearsal of All Things Must Pass. It'd be brilliant if there was footage of this.

I was just listening to the most recent of Geoff Lloyd's Absolute Radio podcasts and as he was at Abbey Road there was a short 10(ish) minute interview with Giles Martin at the end. The important information - He's been working on musical stuff for the documentary with Scorsese and that it's great and that they're very close to finished. Also, he mentioned there was some live Beatles footage that he hadn't watched before which showed how they were a great live band. Oh, and he said he doubts Carnival of Light will be ever be released because even Revolution 9 looks good next to it (paraphrasing here but... ) but he'd like to see releases of live material (like the Washington Coliseum gig) if they can get the sound cleaned up.

Thanks Nicole! That is very, very exciting news. We need something new on "The Quiet One!"
I am starting to like this Giles Martin. On some of the early projects George Martin brought his son in, I rolled my eyes: here we go, the old nepotism routine. Remember that weird album George Martin did in the late 1990's or early 2000's where celebrities covered Beatles' songs with only Jeff Beck's song being any good? I think that was an early appearance of Giles.
Anyway, the guy scored on LOVE and elsewhere so maybe he is okay. ;D

It's in the last ten minutes of the podcast but isn't mentioned in the description so it was pure luck (and the fact I always listen to it... ) that I heard it.
