Didn't know where to put this, but I had never heard this cover, so I thought I'd share.

Oh my! That is simply awesome! "Mind Games" is already one of my favorite John songs, solo or otherwise, and to hear Sinead belt it out choked me up.
Great find sayne and I am going right now to amazon.com to buy the recently released 20th anniversary deluxe edition of "I do not want what I haven't got" where this song is said to be on the bonus disc. That is one of my favorite albums anyway.
This may be my favorite cover of any of the Beatle's songs.

sayne should get a sales commission(I did use a link to Amazon.com from Steve's News Page) as I bought the Sinead O'Connor deluxe "I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got" off amazon.com for $14.99. I did look at my local Wal-Mart(I might as well have pissed in the wind) and the Kokomo, Indiana Best Buy(there I might as well have pissed uphill) with zero luck. So much for supporting local retailers. This album's extras also include an ABBA cover by Sinead as sayne also has turned us onto. [Sigh] If only Sinead would cover a Partridge Family song now!

I almost worship the ground Sinead walks on, and had never heard this, so THANKS.
Great song, great singer... she captures the wistful resignation that the tune needs. She is the greatest white female singer of all time, methinks...

This album's extras also include an ABBA cover by Sinead as sayne also has turned us onto. I was mistaken there. No ABBA cover on her recently reissued 1990 masterpiece, just "Mind Games."
