Watched "The Bank Job" featuring Jason Statham the other night - very good but just wondered over a few things. It's a true story about the robbery of safe deposit boxes which were owned by Michael X which contained revealing pictures of Princess Margaret which he planned to use for extortion purposes. See here for further info - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bank_Job and picture here... img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00444/SNF29MOVB_384_444035a.jpgAnyway, knowing John's history with Michael X I was surprised to see his character in the film. But what surprised me was that though being in 2 scenes there is no speaking by the character and no reference made to his presence. Also the famous photo of John handing his cut off lock to Michael X is show with Yoko by his side is shown but without Yoko on it. Has this been done purposly to avoid legal issues that could be made by Yoko? Does anybody know or seen it too?

I've seen The Bank Job - very entertaining. There may be a couple of "alleged"s missing out of your first paragraph! I don't recall wondering why the Lennon character didn't say anything but, I agree, if no dialogue is necessary then there's no need to invite trouble!

Written, incidentally, by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, who also wrote Water, featuring music from one G Harrison Esq.

However, it should be known that there have been compromising pictures of Princess Margaret with John Bindon, the legendary London gangster and actor (he was in Quadrophenia and Poor Cow, and met Princess Margaret in Mustique whilst on the run for attempted murder). Whether these are the same pictures, we won't know... It just seems strange though no reference is made whatsoever to their presence, you wouldn't really know it was John and Yoko unless you knew a bit of their background. Why have them in? Probably so the Beatles / Lennon fans will go and see the film I suppose... ;D
