what do you consider to be GH's worst album and his worst song.(yes it can include songs he did with the beatles as well) mine would be (for songs) 1.bye bye love 2.I remember jeep (and most of the instrumental songs from ATMP) worst album (in my opinion) 1.dark horse (not because of the songs but because of the length of the album and the obvious filler songs, also the fact that he doesn't sound that good from a cold)

. . . I remember jeep (and most of the instrumental songs from ATMP) It's fair for you to think this because it's your opinion, and I used to NEVER listen to that side of All Things Must Pass because I didn't like it either, but now I've come to appreciate that side much more now. I have my entire CD collection on my IPOD and always have it on random play. One day I was driving and a real killer rockin' track came on that I did not recognize. I looked at my IPOD expecting to see Johnny Winter or Hot Tuna or Blue Cheer or something like that and was surprised to see it was George. Although I suspect George only played rhythm while Eric Clapton and Dave Mason played most of the blistering guitar leads, I now don't dismiss those tracks. In fact, looking at George's complete solo catalog, I wish that he had done a whole lot more raw rock.

Interesting to note that John and Paul got "What's your worst..." threads while George gets a "What's your least favourite..."

George's worst album for me is GONE TROPPO. I don't think much of DARK HORSE and EXTRA TEXTURE as whole pieces of work either, but I do like a few songs off those two which I think are stronger than even the best few salvageable tracks off GONE TROPPO.

I love the title track off that album (GT) and especially the end where he ups the ante and sorta rocks out...

Least Favorite Hari Song: "Unconsciousness Rules." Preachy with wimpy lyrics, wimpy vocal and wimpy musical backing! The whole "Somewhere In England" album justifies George's later decision to bring Jeff Lynne onboard to get a meatier sound.
Honorable Mention: "Wrack My Brain:" I know, Ringo recorded this not George but I have always hated this song and George wrote it. I got beat up in college for locking myself in my dorm room and repeatedly playing "Wrack My Brain" at loud volume at like 2:00 a.m. back in December of 1981, right before holiday break and during final exams. My buddies knew I had to come out sometime and man I got it from them. Had I blasted early R.E.M. or Go-Go's or something like that, the fellows would have been irritated but not mad. They hated Ringo and this particular song though.
Least Favorite Hari Album: Somewhere In England. I am not familiar enough with Dark Horse or Extra Texture to pick on them although I have them on record and on disc. I actually look forward to these being re-released, given the remastering treatment, to see if they are as bad as you good folks mostly say! ;D If so, I'll modify this.
Sorry folks but the record company was right to tell George to take SIE and redo it! He still didn't get it right.
Funny thing, MOJO put Somewhere In England on its "Essential Beatles' Solo List" but not as a real compliment: it wrote that this was fairly representative of George's treadmill solo output. Somewhere Phillip Norman was smiling!

Album: Gone Troppo, though it has aged okay. I liked a lot of songs on Extra Texture-still remebering getting the vinyl for Christmas along with Born to Run.
Worst song: Is it He.
I don't count the jams on ATMP. They are basically just jams in"C" ith no chord changes.

Least favourite GH song is Baby, Don't Run Away from Gone Troppo.
Least Favourite GH album is a toss of the coin between Gone Troppo and Dark Horse.
I would have to say Gone Troppo because it has some really bad songs on Side 2. The one's on Side 1 are not that much better but I can listen to them.

It just seems to me that George isn't really trying and that hard and just wanted to get an album out since he was going on tour.

Dark Horse is the weakest, no doubt.
I like Gone Troppo (i.e., "Mystical One" and "Dream Away")
