You'll notice that there's the idea going around that the mono set is very limited. One retailer whose name I won't mention but who (hint, hint) puts on a show is advertising order them now because Capitol doesn't know if they'll get more. What I've been told by my sources at EMI is that they are limited, but they don't know how limited.
And remember back to the Red and Blue CDs? Those colored boxes were "limited," but they never went away.

Steve, Hi! Can you clear something up for me?I've seen different listings about the mono box and whether it contains the DVD of the quicktime movies? I know for sure the stereo box contains the DVD. I only plan on acquiring the mono box but I'd hate to be limited to watching the documentaries on my computer (prefer DVD so I can watch it on my tv!) Thanking in advance! Regards, Beatle Bob

I guess I'll have to wait for the DVD until I can afford the stereo box a few months down the road. Regards, Beatle Bob

Oh great! Not to spread panic but I believe that folks who want this better be camping out at their favorite music retailer the night of Sept. 8. We were told that we had until Oct. 31 to trade our clunker cars in for $4,500.00 towards the purchase of a new car but that lasted less than a week because of demand. I'd say not everyone here who seeks to buy the mono boxset will be able to find it. No pressure though.

I already ordered the Stereo set. While the Mono set would be nice, I think I can live without it. Of course, if there's a radio contest where I can win it,...

My friends here have traded me, through the years, all the later Beatles' mono stuff like SPLHCB and White Album that I consider truly interesting, and I NEVER play the mono parts of the Capitol boxsets, only the stereo versions. If it falls into my lap, so be it. I still think those that want it better move fast or they'll be buying it off E-Bay for twice the cost.

I hope the mono box goes out of print very quickly. That way I'll have zero guilt about downloading it! I don't download stuff I could buy, but if it's unavailable I consider it fair game...
