Hi Steve and everyone! I'm Peggy ...tried for my usual "luvgeorge" but they said it was taken...oh well. I am an original fan from 1963. Saw the Fabs 3 times in concert...Baltimore 9/13/64, Shea in NYC 8/15/65 and DC 8/15/66. Saw Paul with Wings in 1976 in Largo, Md. at the old and now gone Capital Center. Hope to have a good time here. And chatting Beatles and Beatles related info with you all. I am also a HUGE fan of Julian's, Sean's and Dhani's too. peggy ;D

Welcome Peggy! Wow, another Firstie(a First Generation Beatles' fan)! I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy.... ;D Hope you share your Beatles' concert stories, particularly 1966, my favorite Beatles' year because it was such a crossroads and it was the year of the majestic Revolver, well at least the British one and not the Lennon-lite American version I grew up with as a Second generation fan in the 1970's(or does that make me a Third generation?). ;D Anyway, welcome! JSD

So nice to have another 'Firstie' here. ;D
And yes, please share your Beatles' stories with us, I'm sure they're great.
Have fun with the board!

I grew up with as a Second generation fan in the 1970's(or does that make me a Third generation?). ;D I think you definitely qualify as a 2nd Gen fan, John. We had a thread like this before and I think it was decided that those who were fans during the Beatles actual lifespan as a band are First Gen and 2nd Gen's would be the ones who became fans during the beginning of the solo years. Third Gen's and up would be those who became fans during the late 70's and beyond. I hope that's clear enough. Anyway, Welcome again, Peggy! ;D

Oh Lord, not THIS again! ;D I knew the Beatles when I was a kid, and I watched the cartoons, liked them, and had their records. This was between 1964 and 1968, roughly; I was only 3 to 6 at the time, but pictures exist of me holding up Beatles albums, and of my mom wearing a Beatles Halloween Mask while I was sitting on her lap. I have vivid memories of going to my aunt's house (she went to Shea Stadium and was a huge fan) and her sprawling all the album covers out, and me picking which ones to play. My mom took me to the movies to see HELP!. I didn't become a "collector and fanatic" until the SECOND generation in the '70s, when I was much older. But I guess I was technically a "Firstie" too, because I was a fan who liked them and their music while they were doing it. Oh, and before I forget -- WELCOME, PEGGY!!
