That is a major story because Wal-Mart is such a huge retailer and it is a major disappointment to you I am sure, sorry man! You should p.m. Steve Marinucci on this as he would probably report it in his worldwide Beatles Examiner column. I know you'll find the Stereo Box somewhere else but it is just darn delay!

The upside to this is: I may get a version of MMT with a corrected disc credit.

You have my sympathy glen1966. There are plenty of people down here where I live who are more or less in the same boat. Not necessarily with regards to having orders cancelled, but simply not being able to find either of the box sets at any store. I went to a number of places on the morning of 09.09.09 and NONE of them had box sets in stock. I think some stores had a handfull at 9:00 a.m., but these must have sold in minutes. Now we are being told that the next shipment of the stereo remasters box will be in stores around mid October! I wonder how many this refers to? Fat chance of even seeing a copy of the mono box, let alone buy one. I just don't understand how EMI could have so underestimated demand for these products. The individual albums are readily available, but I want the box sets! I know I should have anticipated this mess and pre-ordered, but this is just ridiculous.

glenn1966; You Are Not Alone! I received the exact same news buddy. Re-ordered (at my first choice, which sold out HOURS before I tried to place my first order) Amazon...should have something in hand by the end of the month. No options up here in the Northeast Kingdom...closest big-box store is an hour & a half drive away. Just have to "suffer" along with some pretty darn good sounding mono's on "flac" files for the time being. I FEEL YOUR PAIN!

That blows Cosmos! This Wal-Mart thing is bugging me! It took your and glenn's orders(and thousands of others) and led you guys to believe that you were covered and then summarily cancels your order.
Wal-Mart is a necessary evil as it seems to be the only retailer left in small town U.S. because of its aggressive tactics so we are forced to shop there but feel slimey doing so. Every one I know who works there(even those in management) hates the company.
When civilization starts to collapse, the first place I am hitting with my Molotov cocktail is the local Wal-Mart!

You should post this on Doug Sulpy's 910 board as there's a thread about people's "horror stories" related to getting the box sets. Apple reads his board so it's a good place to put it. dougsulpy.com/dougsulpy.com/Home.htmlRegards, Beatle Bob
