That was fun. I remember reading about this in RS's Random Notes back then. This was all in lead-up to George's glorious comeback with Cloud Nine and then the Wilburys.

The link to your video clip is no longer working. For those of us who couldn't view it - what was this mysterious treat?

Here is an alternate video version of George Harrison's song "Got My Mind Set On You" that I'd never seen before. George is quite animated and into the song in this video!
Enjoy!

And another treat I've never seen. Paul (and briefly Ringo) in the studio talking to George Martin about his days in military service, and some memories of The Beatles recording in the studios during their heyday. This appears to be from a BBC Documentary and recent. Hope there is a lot more of this somewhere to watch!!!!

And here is 15 minutes of the George Martin BBC Documentary, though it is on somebody's MP4, so the quality isn't so good, but still worth the watch. George talks with Paul, Ringo, his son Giles, and also includes a Cilla Black Interview about her time in the studio.
Gotta get this doc!
PS Interesting that George reiterates in this Doc. to Paul about having session drummer Allen White waiting at the studio when the band first came down to London in September, 1962 to start sessions for "Love Me Do", when that was not the case, and Paul doesn't correct him on that. So I guess Paul can't recollect what really happened either? Or just doesn't want to embarass George on film about the mistake?

George talks about Paul and their relationship. Interesting at the end he comments on Paul once suggesting they might write together. Didn't know Paul had ever proposed that idea to George. Ah....if only.....

Ah....if only..... I don't believe George ever considered it based on his life's experience with Paul....I think it's an example of the Lennon/McCartney thing becoming unproductive especially in John's drugged out years. Paul and George should have wrote together and kept the hits coming or kept it interesting.George was very productive at this time and John especially had trouble dealing with it...
