Made 'ja look! Actually, I'm appearing in a mini kid friendly version of Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' in NYC. It includes the 'Pyramus & Thisbe' sequence the Beatles performed in the 'Around The Beatles' TV special. (There, I got the Beatles reference in! ;D) I play Duke Theseus who heckles the players in the 'Pyramus & Thisbe' play within the play. It's being performed weekends till August 17th at 5pm at the West Side Community Garden located at West 89th Street between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues. The show is free, though donations are welcomed . You can call 212-245-7498 or 212-316-5490 for further info. And to keep this thread Beatlely, here's a YouTube link to the Beatles performing the 'Pyramus & Thisbe' scene. Having done this show several times, I'd like to point out that an interesting misconception about the scene is that the Beatles are doing a parody of Shakespeare. Outside of some permissible ad libs, The Beatles are actually doing the scene the way Shakespeare wrote it. Even the guys who are heckling the Fabs during the sequence are supposed to heckle them. It's funny to see the reactions of the girls next to the hecklers, booing them and pulling their hair yelling "Shut up!", not realizing it's part of the act. You can almost see one of the hecklers try to explain "It's part of the show, luv!".

Here I am as the ducky Duke Theseus in 'Midsummer'. I even managed a 'product placement' in the show.

Excellent product placement! Here's mine: I usually drink the diet variety, though. Kidding aside, that's a cool photo. Hope you're having a great time with the play. -Big K NP - Rolling Stones - NO STONE UNTURNED

Steve put up this YouTube link on the Fab News page of the colorized version of the Beatles' Shakespeare scene from 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. As I've stated before, and the video's opening credits verify it, the Beatles with some permissible ad-libs are doing the scene exactly as Shakespeare wrote it.
