Since the Chicago Bears are on their bye week this week and I'm feeling rather bored, I thought I'd take a look at the NFL 2008 at about the mid point of the season.
AFC East...
At 5-1 the Buffalo Bills have to be considered a surprise team so far. At 3-3 the Brett Farve led New York Jets are so so...it couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
AFC North...
At 5-1 the Pittsburgh Steelers seem to be rolling but they're a wimpy team in a weak division so....who cares?
AFC South...
At 6-0 the Tennessee Titans have to be the surprise team of the year so far. The Indianapolis Colts at 3-3 have to be considered somewhat of a disappointment.
AFC West...
The Denver Broncos at 4-3 are at the top of the division. The San Diego Chargers at 3-4 have to be considered something of a disappointment so far this season.
NFC East...
The New York Giants at 5-1 are on top of a tough division.
NFC North...
Ahh....The Chicago Bears at 4-3 (they should be 7-0) sit at the top of their division and are masters of the universe.
NFC South...
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers at 5-2 are tied for the division.
NFC West...
The Arizona Cardinals are at the top of their division at 4-2 but...who cares? Weak division. Hard to believe the Seattle Seahawks are 1-5.
That is all.

. . . The San Diego Chargers at 3-4 have to be considered something of a disappointment so far this season . . . You got that right! They have an offense that can win any game and a defense that can lose any game. Quite possible, though, to win their verrrry weak division and then surprise people with a four game run in the playoffs. They CAN be that good.

JCV Yeah, I saw the 'great' MNF game, JCV. The Steelers BEARly squeaked out a win over the hapless Redskins, 23-6. In the meantime, the Chicago Bears dominated, crushed and destroyed the Detroit Lions, 27-23. Welcome to my world. Seriously JCV, your Steelers are looking very good.

I taught them everything I know. There's debate here as to whether Byron should start and rest Ben or not. I say start Ben and let Byron take over as soon as we get a good lead over the Colts, which will be somewhere during the 1st Q. ;D ;D JCV
